  1. Fake the punt to Wolfe again. I liked how that looked last time.
  2. Dammit, just short of the first...at midfield too. Brad do your job
  3. There's nothing wrong with fades. You're just not going to get receivers streaking open very often close to the goal line. Now throwing it to your shortest receiver is an issue. I'd rather see Olsen out on the perimeter there. Fades are such a low-percentage play. You're counting on your receiver getting to the spot, a perfect ball by the QB, and then your WR out-muscling the DB. I'd rather run a post or a slant every time over a fade in the red zone. The only thing fades are good for are drawing pass interference penalties
  4. That's a misleading stat obviously 3 of those were in one game. False, one was in the Steelers game. Cutler didn't throw an int in the Steelers game. http://espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=290920003 EDIT: Ah...yeah forgot about Seattle...fair enough. it was against seattle, but it was off knox's hands like that one kinda. It was, but as I said at the time, it was ill advised. He was improvising trying everything in his power to not get sacked, as he does on most of his INTs, and he threw a high one to Knox.
  5. You gotta catch that Knox, especially after Cutler does such a nice job of getting out of the pocket.
  6. That's a misleading stat obviously 3 of those were in one game. False, one was in the Steelers game. Cutler didn't throw an int in the Steelers game. http://espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=290920003 Sorry I meant the Seattle game, I edited it.
  7. Both their main CBs are speed guys too, so even if our WRs beat them, they can recover easily. If we had a tall WR for situations like this it would help a lot. This is why I said getting TO wouldn't be a horrible move, but too late for that.
  8. That's a misleading stat obviously 3 of those were in one game. False, one was in the Seahawks game.
  9. That pass was 7 yards from the goal line too. What's the point of making that throw? Horrible decision making...the only thing seperating Cutler from being great are these lapses.
  10. The thing I was scared of...Cutler throwing taking points off the board. SON OF A BITCH. I was saying before every play "NO INTS" That's the 4th Cutler INT in FG range this year. 12 points he's taken off the board by forcing it. Momentum shift to Atlanta, let's get a stop..
  11. The announcers just said they thought Cutler checked into a running play. But I thought Cutler was a selfish me first guy that only checks away from running plays?
  12. Radical play call to go for QB sneak on 3rd and 1.
  13. Offensive line has looked spectacular so far.
  14. Nice and easy...take what they give you. I like the gameplan so far (cause it's working mostly...)
  15. 3 passes to start the game, but I liked the pass on 3rd down.
  16. Just missed taking it back. I don't know if he tripped up on the turf of someone got a hand on him barely, but he was about to be in high gear.
  17. Nice job on the pressure....3 and out! Let's see what Cutler and Co. have in store...
  18. Here comes the first 3rd and long of the day....
  19. I have the same feeling of nervousness that I did before Week 1's game. I think we've shown a lot since the GB game, but this game will be a great barometer for how good this Bears team is. Critics could easy make the "missed FGs" excuse for the Steelers and Seahawks games, and the fact that awful Detroit held up with us in that win, but if we beat Atlanta, a place where they've lost only 1 game in the Matt Ryan era, we are legit. If we get run off the field, it doesn't mean we're awful, but we might want to lower the expectations a little bit until we can get the trouble areas shored up a bit. This team is a work in progress who already cannot hit their ceiling with the major injury to Urlacher, but at this moment I believe they still have a chance to be pretty damn good. This is my last rational thought on this board for the next 3.5-4 hours.
  20. Hahaha Dumb comment but it doesn't mean he's never going to be a star. He held his own the first few games so the Jets let him open it up a little and it failed miserably. Rein him in and see if a more conservative gameplan will lead to more victories. Just because Matt Ryan did it last year doesn't mean that rookie QBs should be expected to be polished right off the bat. In fact its unbelievably rare that this occurs.
  21. I used to always root for ties, but after last year's tie, the standings looked so dumb like the Eagles went 9-6-1. How do you even feel after a tie? I think it feels more like a loss than a win. I think if the Eagles had lost that game instead of tying it, either the Bucs, Cowboys or Bears (can't remember which) would have made the playoffs instead of them, so I guess a tie has some merit.
  22. Has a 3:00 game ever still been going on when the Sunday Night game starts?
  23. I think it's Briggs-Roach-Tinoisamoa with Jamar Williams being the only backup? Or am I missing someone?
  24. That's lame. I doubt the systems he played in are that much different than Chicago. Isn't Anthony Adams supposed to be hurt? Seems like a no brainer to play him today. BTW, just stumbled across a somewhat funny cartoon/video. A bit outdated but I chuckled. I hope this guy steps up big tonight. http://www.bangcartoon.com/2009/special_delivery.htm
  25. Did anyone else see that the Metrodome is now called "Mall of America Field"? Just another reason to hate the Vikings.
