  1. Also, ESPN is reporting that Boldin is out today.
  2. Damn they just showed Devin Hester walking around Soldier Field this morning on ESPN's pregame show and he had a noticeable limp going. They said he's playing today though...I just don't know of effective he'll be.
  3. If he keeps up his solid play (obviously he won't be that good for the rest of the 1st half), he should garner some serious All-Star consideration. I was worried about this game and I figured it'd be a close game. I'll definitely take the win. Nice to see Salmons actually have a good shooting night as well. Have the Bulls ever beaten the Bobcats soundly? It seems like, no matter how bad they are, they always play the Bulls tough. Nope they always play us tough. Remember this game? One of my favorite regular season games over the last ~10 years.
  4. Bulls are 2 games over .500 for the first time since the end of the 06-07 season.
  5. It's crazy how little talk has been had about this game here. I guess people are still discouraged about the team. I think the Bears can win tomorrow and even play well. I've seen teams play nearly as bad as the Bears and still recover for a decent season. The Bears can win, but I can't get a good feel for the game. The weather is probably gonna help the Cardinals and their 'air it out' offense, so I'm gonna predict a 10 point Cardinals victory, but I can EASILY see the result being the other way around.
  6. I hate Charlotte...they always give us a tough time. So far this year, they have an even worse scoring offense and an even better scoring defense than us.
  7. All Michigan had to do was go 1-4 in their last 5 games to make a bowl and it's not gonna happen. What a joke. Michigan has been outscored 75-12 in the second half in their last 3 games. That shows me a coach that can't make adjustments. Making a bowl would have been great for recruiting and great for Rodriguez to get people on his side. Now you have a bunch of unbelievably pissed fans and alumni, and it's gonna be hard for the fans to ever get on his side. How will this hurt recruiting? I'd imagine a bit..no one wants to play for this crappy team. We just got Notre Dame'd. Welcome to perpetual mediocrity.
  8. How will Roast defend this?
  9. I'm not a Hendry fan, but what the [expletive] is this supposed to even mean? Because dude....Jimbo let go of World Championship caliber players duh. (El Caballo is a Brewers fan so he's probably light heartedly mocking us)
  10. Just act like an arrogant jackass all the time no matter how deserved your cockiness is. As much as i hate them I really wish i could have reason to be that damn cocky. Even just one year. Yeah it kinda sucks. I'm sure eventually one of our teams will win it all. I just hope they do it while I'm young enough to celebrate (meaning living in the city, childless so I can handle going out, getting drunk and celebrating)
  11. Alright, 2009 is over. The Cubs 2010 Championship run begins!
  12. Just act like an arrogant jackass all the time no matter how deserved your cockiness is.
  13. In case you might have enjoyed the Yankees play this World Series and are somehow developing a fondness for them: I found this on a Yankees message board: This day that he's talking about is the day that the World Series champ is crowned. Oh boo hoo you had to wait 8 years for a title.
  14. Yeah but who really knows...with all the misinformation that comes from the Cubs, who knows if he'll have a setback or it will take longer than expected. Not trying to go all glass half empty, but I think the Cubs have to prepare for the possibility. Alas, they'll probably just throw Smarshall in the rotation.
  15. Jersey I just wanted to point out that Arizona only played 1 road game in last years playoffs (Carolina) and 2 at home.
  16. The Bears are 4-3, the Vikings are 7-1. The Bears still have 2 games left against the Vikings. If the Bears win the rest of their games, and the Vikings win the rest of their non-Bears games, they will both finish 13-3, with the Bears having the tie-breaker. Included in winning the rest of the games is a win over Green Bay, giving the Bears a better record than the Packers. Edit: Or more simply put, what Raisin says below.
  17. Damn ARod. ARod proves that your luck can change. This means the Cubs CAN win the World Series.
  18. Funny...I just realized that technically the Bears still control their destiny in the NFC North.
  19. Don't watch more...he was red hot in the 1st.
  20. This one is gonna come to the last shot, like last years double OT game I think. I feel like these two teams are the mostly closely matched teams in terms of talent in the NBA. Seems like every time they play it comes down to the last shot.
  21. Pargo hasn't had a single apperance this year that he didn't do like 3-4 horrible things in. When he was on the Bulls 3 years ago he was a 12th man and rarely made appearances. Now he's our 4th guard and plays every game. Grr..
  22. The way the Bears have played today they deserve to be in a close game. They have been playing just about as poorly as last week, just the quality of the opponent is way way down.
  23. Tickets on Stubhub are going for as low as $6 for that game.
  24. Nice win for the Hawks after last night!
  25. I don't think it's the open jumpers people are crediting to the Celtics, it's the contested shots that Boston is known for. Every time the Bulls have played Boston with Garnett on the team, except for maybe once or twice they've gotten blown out, and tonight was no different. I kinda expected it, there were too many factors in favor of the Celtics tonight, but hopefully this keeps people's expectations a little lower. I think we are a better team than last year for the most part, but we're clearly not in the same league as a motivated Celtics team. But we should be able to win more of those road games against average/decent teams than last year. Although, I am a bit worried about where the scoring is going to come from this year. 92 points last night, 90 tonight (a lot was garbage time) albeit against excellent defenses. I just fear way too many periods where we will have a complete inabiliy to score. We'll see though...2 games doesn't tell a lot of meaningful things.
