    The Cavs have scored points on 23 of their last 28 possessions which is the entire run the Cavs have made.

    The Bulls fans are good at times, mediocre at times. It doesn't help that the 100 level is at least $125 a ticket, pushing the louder fans away from the court, but I suppose that happens all over the NBA. I've seen the UC be insane at times before, but I think in a series where they know we're just first round fodder, it's hard to go completely crazy. It's not like the first round of the playoffs is new to us either so we won't go nuts just for the novelty of the event.

    I should have turned this game on earlier. My eyes bugged out of my head when I saw we were up 11-1.

    I don't know about that, unless you are talking about on a game to game basis. The Predators pretty much dominated games 1 and 3, and the Hawks have pretty much dominiated the games they've won. Look at the scores up to today, 4-1, 2-0, 4-1, 3-0.

    Ted "the bulldog" Lilly is quickly becoming one of my favorite Cubs. I was thinking about getting a new jersey shirt in the near future and I think TRL would be a great choice.

    This Sharks/Avs game is getting pretty good. Col scored a few minutes ago to take a 2-1 lead but the Sharks just tied it up with 12 minutes left in the 3rd. Obviously, I'd LOVE to see Colorado win this series, because the Hawks would get to face them in the next round should we advance. Not to say that Colorado is a pushover, but I'd rather the Hawks face them than Vancouver.

    I was hoping Ottawa could take it to 7...blah. Also still holding out hope Colorado can take it to 7, but they are trailing 1-0.

    The Pirates guys are just awful. They really are. Admittedly they have a pretty difficult job making Pirates baseball seem interesting, and they have a LOT of garbage time to fill, but still, they sound horrible.

    Narveson is like their Grabow, and for some reason he keeps facing us. I think its the third time we've seen him this season already and I believe we've gotten to him each time.

    So how does everyone think the prognosis for the Hawks is the rest of this series? It's pretty clear that Chicago will have all the momentum after the win today. On the surface it seems pretty likely that the Hawks will finish this series off Monday in Nashville. The fact that they outplayed the Predators all game except for a few notable moments here and there says a lot about our chances. Personally, I just can't see the Hawks not being able to dominate the Preds at least in one of the last 2 games of the series. Maybe one game but not both. However...Nashville knows they can play with the Hawks. They aren't scared of us. They know they *could* win the last 2 games. Common sense has been wrong a ton of times in this series. Every time you expect the Hawks to just roll over this team, every time you think the Hawks are in control, the Preds come back. So we'll see. If this was game 7 coming up, I'd be worried but with 2 chances to get it done, I feel somewhat good. We just need to get out of this series. Vancouver is a better team than Nashville but obviously plays with a style more accustomed to how the Blackhawks want to play. Someone better let Robby Luongo know the Blackhawks are coming....

    I think it was a bloop over Weeks head, who almost got it. I am not 100% sure because I was only half paying attention. I know it wasn't a liner or anything.

    I agree. It was a bit cheap, and no doubt there was frustration involved with that shove, but it was obvious Hossa was trying to make a play on the puck. Like you said with 1 minute left in a pivitol game 5 with the puck in the Preds zone, it's hard to believe he was going around looking to lay out someone just because. It doesn't excuse the hit, which was cheap and illegal, but I don't think it deserves a suspension. He didn't even get a game misconduct for it. That said, the NHL can be really weird about stuff like this. The fact that he didn't get a game misconduct for the hit, and the fact that he bounced right back out of the penalty box to score the winning goal makes me worry the NHL will deem that he wasn't punished enough for the hit. You can bet the Preds are trying to frame this as Ovechkin-Campbell part 2 (their coach was saying he sees no difference between the 2 hits in the post game), and I wouldn't be surprised if Hamhius has an "injury" tomorrow.

    I want to elaborate on this. I honestly haven't flipped out like that because of a sporting event in years. I think maybe Devin Hester in the SB is the last time. Wow. Shame on me for giving up on this team for a bit there. Parise goal in the gold medal game? That was the last one for me. Have had a couple Iowa football and Vikings games mixed in. The last minute plus OT was just nerve-wracking beyond belief. Actually the goal in the gold medal game was pretty sweet. I did go crazy for that. That was close but I temporarily went insane for like 10 seconds after this goal.
