  1. Oh my god....we had all the momentum on our side, and they put in a shorthanded goal to give it all to Nashville
  2. TOMAS!!!!!!!!! Great find and great move to get it in the net! Great penalty Hawks!
  3. Sullivan has been such a little pest when fighting for pucks in this series.
  4. OK now 45 minutes of the trap right?
  5. Chelsea Dagger. Nice job Hammer!
  6. Man, I couldnt tell which Pred it was, but he outhustled 2 Hawks to the puck and it led to 3 SOGs for Nashville.
  7. Nice...Hawks looked stunned after giving up the goal like they got punched in the face. Maybe this will loosen them up because yes they were outplaying Nashville to start.
  8. We're getting completely dominated again.
  9. Well we didn't get a shutout so I guess we're going to lose. [expletive] sharp how can you not handle that pass, that would have tied it back up
  10. I only come to this thread maybe once a week so apologies if this has been posted already, but ESPN as part of its on demand content (on Comcast), has the 1994 USA/Columbia game and the 2002 USA/Mexico (as well as 98 England/Argentina) game available to watch. I am watching USA Mexico right now, this was such a happy day.
  11. Is it 2009 all over again? ^ really old, but they are always hilarious to watch so I'll let it slide.
  12. It's a nice name but it reminds me too much of Major Applewhite, and he didn't do anything in the NFL
  13. If anyone is interested, I just pulled up 2 tickets in Section 302 ($75 face, 2nd cheapest seats you can get) for tomorrow. I was going to be an [expletive] and buy them and flip them for a profit, but it looks like the market has leveled out quite a bit and a lot of people on craigslist are offering for face value.
  14. Haha, what does Prince Fielder have to do to homer against Dempster? Dempster was also the pitcher who gave up the "grand slam" hit by Prince that was brought back by Reed Johnson last April.
  15. I just heard on the ESPN 1000 that Dempster asked to move back to the pen after seeing the lineup that is going to back him up tonight. (ok I made that up)
  16. Was that some sort of weird Freudian slip? I'm racking my brain to think of what Mr. Freud would suggest he had in mind when he slipped the word fiancee in there while talking about Stalin Castro, but I just can't find an approporiate connection.
  17. The NBA playoffs: FAN-tastic! The Hawks and Bulls started off their playoff series with the Hawks and Bulls playing game 1 a day apart. Now by the time the Bulls play game 4, it will be the day before the Hawks play game 6
  18. Again, the LeBron hate is ridiculous. He's cut down on the dancing and all of those shenanigans, but it was equally as ridiculous to see him pulling those stunts out. I like LBJ though. I'm praying that we have a fighter's chance at stealing him away from the hole known as Cleveland. I can understand why someone would think the dances are dumb. But, to dislike LeBron for it is pretty dumb. It's just good fun. I don't get why you are so surprised about this? If Dwyane Wade starting dancing all over the court after destroying the Cavs, you wouldn't resent that just a little? I can see why YOU would think it's in good fun, and it probably is, but when your team just got beat down the last thing you want to see is the opponent dancing and acting all jovial. He's already the damn most talented player in the league and now he has to essentially rub it in. It's one of those things that on paper it doesn't sound like a big deal, but when you are on the losing side of a game and you are already feeling upset by it and then you see the best player in the league dancing around laughing it up, you quickly develop hate. This sounds like exactly the same argument people have against Carlos Zambrano with his antics after getting a big out except its Bulls fans on the other side of things this time. You hate it because he's on the other team but, like Cavs fans, you wouldn't care at all if LeBron was on your team. Yes!! That's exactly what I mean. Mike Aller said its dumb for anyone to hate LeBron because of it. It's not, it's aggrivating and annoying. I hate LeBron specifically because he does stuff like that. But if he came to Chicago, I would quit my job and spend all summer carefully studying all forms of dance, both present day and historical, in order to coreograph some sort of awesome dance and send him a tape of it every single day in the small hopes that he sees it and uses it in a game some day.
  19. I can't believe you are trying to downplay the player who once played a conference finals game in the Benny the Bull costume just because he was bored. And he still scored 47 points and the Bulls won by 12 despite Pippen and Harper both missing the game with typhoid fever. ? I thought SSR was referring to people describing Jordan as a mythical figure often overexaggerating or misremembering the details of Jordan's career.
  20. I gotta disagree a little here. If you were to watch a timeline of Jordan's buzzer beating shots through this career, you would see that early in his career he did celebrate like LeBron does now, and as he got further along in his career, it evolved into a simple fist pump with a stone cold look on his face. Let LeBron be 25. Besides, no one said that to be better than Jordan one had to act exactly like Jordan. The greats have dominated in personality throughout history. Bill Russell probably had the most similar personality to Jordan. The man was just all about winning, every single time he played. Wilt was more of a character, was obsessed with his statistics, didn't end up being remembered as a complete team player, Bird was a pretty cold blooded winner too in his own time, as was Magic but had a different personality to get to that point. If LeBron never "matures" and is always a big kid that likes to enjoy his winning shots, and loves to have a jovial commradare with with teammates, etc that doesn't mean he can't be as good as Jordan when all is said and done.
