    BTW, I completely missed the first goal. I was helping my GF with something and was thinking to myself "I bet the period started". Flip over to CSN and the Hawks are celebrating a 1-0 lead. Oh well, they made sure to show me a Hawk goal 36 seconds later :) Game is obviously not even close to over, but I feel like a huge weight got lifted off my shoulders. And I'm not even playing.

    You know there's a game thread for this stuff, right? Hey it's fine by me. I know I personally am not paying any attention to the Cubs game but an update or two is helpful. Here's an update. The Cubs suck and will fail. Bastards. Oh so you are just bitter. Aramis hits a ball home run distance just foul and then K's on the next pitch swinging way too late on the pitch.

    oh, cuz it wasn't icing I'd say everyone came to play. other than kaner and Hendry. Or maybe he did, it's hard to tell because he's so awful no matter what.

    Definitely worried about Luongo dominating, but like I said, it only takes one bad shot that slips through and he gets rattled.

    Wait, I thought the Canucks had icing called on them. Why was the faceoff in the Hawks zone?

    and it wasn't even the hit that hurt him. it was the twisted up leg on the follow through his body is feeling all different kinds of pain right now Pads and painkillers certainly help but I'm sure it still hurts like a bitch.

    Another good thing, the Canucks haven't done as good at keeping the Hawks pinned on the boards tonight, which I think really limited us last game.

    Both teams were flying up and down the ice. The Hawks had several great chances to score in the first couple of minutes but couldn't get one in. Luongo seems to be really on tonight, as has Niemi.

    Man, how many chances have just been an inch or two away from being goals for the Hawks?

    BTW, I just want to say, when Hendry controls the puck in the Blackhawks zone, for my sanity, I am going to just assume he is going to turn it over to the other team without clearing

    That was one of the better saves I've seen this season. Easily the best of the series. SOB where choker Luongo

    HOLY [expletive] [expletive]. There is no way Niemi would have made that save. If we blow this series, Luongo = Beckett

    You thought 5 on 5 in this game was nerve wracking, let's see how we all fare shorthanded. If you stop posting I'll assume you died.

    That's great for the Hawks against most teams that would be the case, but i don't think it really favors either team. the canucks are just like the hawks. both like to play the same way I thought so too but I read somewhere that Vancouver would rather play a slower style of play. They certainly aren't bad playing like this though.

    Luongo is giving up enough rebounds to make me feel ok about our chances.
