    Korver kiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllllled us last night. Normally he does miss that badly on wide open attempts. Normally if he misses they rim out or something. I do like that we've been competitive with Boston, SA and LAL, but a lot of teams can catch an elite team at the right time and play them closely. This Bulls team is beyond moral victories and needed to close out one of those 3 games for a win. Oh well, the second is young and we're about to go on a tear when the schedule lightens up in about 2 weeks.

I'm sure there are plenty that have the Bears first but I would say the consensus has the Bucs higher than Chicago despite not beating a single +500 team and having a negative point differential.

    That's simply not true. Tampa Bay? I've seen them below Tampa on many lists. They've been behind a crappy Oakland team and the rest of that weak AFC West as well. Yeah just about every ranking I've seen has TB over the bears. Still not sure why though.

    Sure but the way he worded the post made it seem like the game being on NBA TV is preventing him from watching the game otherwise.

    I still hate him for the phantom HBP incident at Wrigley several years ago. I'd take him but I think he'll want too much money for someone who declined heavily last year.

    I have no idea how Simmons manages to be completely off the mark about everything he says about the Bears, but he does.

    It's gonna mean something, they are going to have to go to Orlando and Boston now to get out of the East. They're 2 games behind Boston and 1 1/2 behind Orlando (14 games in), and they're playing like garbage according to everyone. Cancel the season, the Heat are finished. Yup thats what everyone is saying. Miami is playing like garbage and due to these 14 games, its now written in stone that Miami will forever play at an 8-6 or worse pace. What are you reading?

    At this point despite the lack of NFL success, Harbaugh is probably the biggest name on the market besides Cowher and Gruden. His stock is red hot.

    Hiring Jim Harbaugh would be great for your franchise, but if he chooses to leave CFB, he's gonna probably have his pick of the Dallas and Minnesota jobs too. Or at least 1 of them. Gonna be hard to say no to coaching teams that already have that level of talent to work with.

    Geez that is truly beyond awful. They need flex picks like NBC does. GB/Atl or Chi/Phi or Bal/TB would all be much better games.

    C'mon, he knows with that talent he can get them to win. Also consider the fact that they haven't played 1 minute with Mike Miller this year, who would immediately be the 4th best player on the team when he's healthy, there is a lot of room for growth. As much as I take pleasure in the Heat sucking, I can't deny that there is probably a sleeping giant on that team

    I don't even think Wade was supposed to play today because of his injury. He gutted it out and killed the team because of it.

    If Miami was in the West, I'd seriously start to wonder if they were gonna make the playoffs.

    I've been buying the stats that say that Miami is the best team in bball despite the record. But why do they keep losing? Sure they blow out teams....some of them. But against others, they lose. I keep telling myself that they will eventually gel and turn those close losses into close or blowout wins, but they are struggling against teams they shouldnt struggle against. Now Indiana is definitely a decent team this year but c'mon. PS I realize its not over but just to be in this position is surprising.

    When is the last time that no Cubs player got a single vote for MVP or Cy Young? Edit: it happened 2 times in the last 35 years (since 1975), in 1986 and 1994.

    I'm with ya on the disclaimer but even still on the game Collins started the rushed for the most yards a bears team has in almost 15 years so I'm not sure the bears even had a huge knock in rankings for that game. The biggest factor that's weighing them down is the oline and in particular pass blocking which was historically bad until a couple weeks ago.

    Of course, those haven't taken into account this week's results. Also, the Bears should get a bit of a disclaimer for 6 quarters of Todd Collins football. Sure but I don't know how much of a bump we will get. The bears already rank 6th in their d rankings so I'd expect a bit of a bump. The offense is 30tj and is a huge gap below 29th and was nothing special in all metrics on Thursday. So they might be like 20th or something.

    According to Football outsiders efficiency ratings the Eagles should be number 1 and the Bears should be 24th.
