  1. I don't know about the rest of Bears fans, but I am cheering for the Jets in this game. However, if the Bears somehow lost their game on Sunday, I am switching my alliegences to the Steelers. Anyone else feel this way?
  2. That's because Martz was a stubborn fool in several games throwing the ball way too much. Exactly...look at our rushing yards in games early in the year.... 101 yards vs. DET 38 vs. DAL 77 vs. GB 59 vs. NYG 61 vs. SEA 66 vs. WAS then look post bye.... 105 vs. BUF 130 vs. MIN 135 vs. MIA 131 vs. PHI 114 vs. DET 104 vs. MIN 120 vs. NYJ 110 vs. GB 170 vs. SEA Basically, they only had two 100 yard rushing games, as a team, pre bye, and post bye we had only 1 game where we rushed for less than 100 yards as a team.
  3. It's just the idiot media trying to rationalize things by making loose comparisons since they don't watch every Bears game or follow them like us fans do. That's why the media is so BS and not worth listening to. They don't know anymore about anything than the average die hard.
  4. I was so close!!! He went with 30-17 Packers. Off by 1 point. Predictable. If the Bears lose by more than 10 points, I will put on Packer gear, take a picture and then post it on NSBB. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!????!! He had one good game against a mediocre run D (philly), and then next week with all the hype he had 25 carries for 68 yards against Atlanta. Meanwhile the Bears have been destroying running games all year and James [expletive] Starks is supposed to be a factor in them winning? BS.
  5. I bet he picks the Packers by double digits. 31-17 Packers, Cutler throws 3 picks
  6. I thought for a minute he was gonna pick the Bears about 20 minutes ago when he posted 3 consecutive comments from readers about why the Bears should win and comparing it to the 06 NFC title game.
  7. Yup. I don't feel like going through Simmons' picks all year, but I'd think he have the Bears going about 4-13 if all his picks came true. Strangely enough one time he did pick the Bears is when they played the Pats.
  8. That wasn't a car, that was Erik riding around Halas hall on a tricycle.
  9. I never really thought about how rare it is for QBs to win road playoff games until Simmons wrote a comment about Sanchez in his chat today. The comment was that if Sanchez wins this weekend, he will be the first QB EVER with 5 postseason road victories in a career. And its his 2nd overall season!! So I started to look up a random grouping of QBs to see what their career road playoff records were: First get these out of the way: Rodgers: 2-1 Cutler: 0-0 Active players: Brady 3-2 P. Manning 2-5 E. Manning 3-1 Sanchez 4-1 Brees 0-2 Roethlisberger 3-0 Flacco 4-3 Retired players: Steve Young 0-3 Joe Montana 2-5 John Elway 3-3 Dan Marino 1-6 Brett Favre 3-7 (hopefully he's on this list for good) That's crazy. Flacco has never played a home playoff game, while Big Ben has played only home playoff games except 05 when he won all 3 road games to get to the Super Bowl. I guess it makes sense because the best QBs are usually on the best teams and the best teams win divisions and get byes, leaving it so you rarely play road games. The Bears haven't played a road playoff game in 16 years.
  10. I can't disagree. The team that runs the ball best this game wins. To me, that's the #1 factor. Sucks for the Packers then.
  11. That pretty much sums up the most anyone is capable of insulting me with. You know, I really should back off a bit. My wife teaches Special Ed, so for her sake I should attempt to help the people on here, and not mock them. After all, it's the responsibility of people like her and me to attempt to help the mentally disabled, not to make them feel ashamed about their condition. I'm ashamed of myself. :( You should be in the "awesome" hall of fame. Fixed that for you. And yes. I agree. I should be. This chain of posts is basically what's going on your plaque.

  13. How fat is he?
  14. It all has to do with TV contracts. Last year FOX got the NFC title game in prime time (Saints-Vikings). The year before CBS got the AFC title game in prime time (Steelers-Ravens). The year before that it was Giants-Packers, and the year before that Colts-Patriots (with Bears-Saints the early game). It alternates every year due to the TV contracts.
  15. I blame one of your guys.
  16. In 20 seconds I same up with Charles Martin ending the Bears repeat chances by taking out McMahon, the blocked FG after payton died, the blocked FG keeping the Bears playoff chances alive in the coldest game in soldier field history (2 degrees), not to mention that reversed call that gave the packers a win in the late 80's
  17. It's not an irrational hate of you. That would be breaking the forum rules for personal attacks. It's my strong dislike of everything you post. For instance, "Hey speaking of Detroit, how bad is that Matt Millen guy" is like saying, "Hey are you guys talking about the 2012 election? Oh, how about those hanging chads? I hope they fix that before the next election"
  18. Sounds like they just hate Marinelli and Martz. It's kinda understandable since they are both a part of their horrible recent history. But it's not like they squandered some great talent up there. Speaking of the Lions, has there ever been a worse executive than Matt Millen? Donald Sterling looks like Billy Beane next to that guy. Speaking of the Cubs, has their ever been a worse fan than Steve Bartman? You're awesome. We should hang out. I can teach you how to spell! Hey hey, message board grammar corrections. I was wrong about you. You rock.
  19. I agree, Rose needs to put up a ton of shots for the Bulls to win simply because without Boozer and Noah, there's really only one other guy that can make his own offense and that's Deng, and he is off many nights. He doesn't need to shot 28 every night, but 20 shots shouldnt be a big deal. The problem for me is that he's missing shots that he was making with regularity last year. The 3 pointers are actually not the issue at all. He's making enough of his 3 point attempts that its helping his efficiency. Last year Rose had the highest shooting % from midrange of any point guard in the NBA. He was lethal with his mid range shot. He'd have games where he'd hit that shot 6-7 times in a row, just lethal. Now its just not there with any consistency. He'll hit 1-2 in a row, and then miss the next 3. And that's causing teams to back off his mid range and collapsing on him in the pain, making his efficiency down low lower as well. He isn't finishing those "giant killers" all that much. All and all though the difference between .489 (last year) and .449 (this year), if he took the same number of shots is 56 more made FGs, which is like .7 made FGs per game. I guess not a ton. The issue is that he's projected to take 230 more shots than last year. I just want to see him get in a rhythm again like he was for a big part of last year. He's better than a 45% shooter.

  21. No doubt. I just wish he made more than 33% of them. He has to take a lot of shots but taking 28 to get 26 points isn't ideal, despite the fact he's still helping the team to a degree.
  22. Yeah Rose is really struggling with his shot. He's still being effective, but his scoring efficiency feels like its entering into Monta Ellis range.
  23. I do too. People who have known me for years still do that. That's because they don't like you either.
  24. Yes False. But he can opt out after this year
