You know I love to stick it to the Canucks, but there have been some well-balanced opinions coming from their fan base as well. Yes, there's the hysteria and general butt-hurtedness that comes with blowing a 3 game lead, but it hasn't been all bad. I'll be honest, their reactions that I read actually scared me. If this were the Cubs, NSBB would be catatonic. Their biggest thing is that they believed the Canucks dominated the Hawks in the 3rd and OT (which isnt unreasonable to say) and that if they put that kind of effort into game 7, they will win. The calmness and rationality of their response kind of went against what I was expecting and made me doubt, just a little, that we will see or morgue like setting if the Hawks get an early goal. Maybe I'm wrong though. For the record, the players were surprisingly upbeat and calm about the situation too. Not that I expected them to sound like they just lost the series, but I was surprised at how reletively poised and confident their interviews sounded.

Canucks fans are stupid. They are all bitching about the break in the action with just under 10 minutes left to clear up the ice. There aren't supposed to be TV timeouts in OT, and they think the refs just randomly granted one just for fun. I thought these guys were supposed to know hockey? One the first stoppage of play after 10 minutes left in OT, the ice crew is supposed to come out and clean the ice. It happened last year in the Sharks-Hawks game (game 3, the game where Buff scored the game winner), so its not some brand new rule they just made up on the spot. They also think the Hawks got away with murder in the game, but that's expected.

Seriously....we don't win that without his fantastic saves in OT. Maybe he wasn't standing on his head, but he was under constant attack in the OT. Canucks just choked..simple as that Crawford was outstanding but if Johnson doesn't come back and tip that pass on the 2-1 breakaway, the Hawks are done. This is true. When I saw the puck rebound off Crawford in that direction, I put my hands over my face, thinking it was over. Huge play. That and Leddy getting his stick on that shot on the Canucks 4 on 2 a short time before the goal.

You knew Rose sprained his ankle, so it shouldnt be any kind of surprise that he was in a walking boot today. That's what I mean by not a big deal. As I said, its common practice for teams to do that with ankle injuries. -
Looks like we would be playing SJ if we won on Tuesday, correct? Unless SJ blows a 3-1 lead, and then we'd be playing the Wings. I absolutely cannot believe I am even considering the possibility of round 2. Who'd a thunk it?

He's getting shipped in the offseason if that happens. How many teams want a goalie who chokes in the playoffs and has 11 years left on his contract? He has a no-trade clause too. I'm sure Eastern conference teams would like him seeing as they wouldnt see the Hawks until the Finals

I've heard rumors his glovehand is hurt and that is what is causing the poor goaltending. True? Heard that too. That's how the Hawks got back into the series by attacking the glove side. But I definitely don't think its all the hand injury

What happens to Luongo if he chokes in game 7 and gives up 4-5 goals? Seriously, what do you do? Take him to a sports psychologist? This Hawks team has no business taking this talented of a Canucks team to 7 games. It's all between the ears.

I don't think they will interfere. I believe the Bulls will be on at 7, and Hawks on at 9....so 30 minute overlap. Hopefully the Bulls get their head out of their asses and make that last 30 minutes irrelevant.

So many thoughts and questions here. Who starts in goal for Vancouver in Game 7? How demoralized will the Canucks be? How demoralized will the Canucks FANS be? I can imagine if the Hawks take an early lead it will resemble game 1 of the 2008 NLDS after the grand slam. God I love this sport. Bulls and Hawks both have a chance to move to the second round on Tuesday!

Agreed. The momentum can change in the blink of an eye though. It's weird how things just randomly shift in the opposite direction.
