  1. That picture just made my day.
  2. 10 pm here. Even suckier. Oh, and I don't get Vs. Great... Ahh..yeah I forgot...Vs. I don't get it either...joy. Actually, if I remember correctly, CSN showed some of the games early in the playoffs last year even when they were also on Vs. I could be wrong, but I think I remember Vs. only have exclusive coverage later in the playoffs. Yup...I believe game 1 is on CSN exclusively in the USA
  3. Hahah that's hilarious.....2 weeks ago, he said Rose wasn't in the top 5, then on Friday I believe he said Rose and Wade were tied for 5th and now he's 4th. Also, as recently as last week, Rose wasn't in his All-NBA 1st team. Rose had a really good week last week, but it seems strange at this point that he would move up like that, especially in light of his "defense is the Bulls MVP" arguments. Either way, I didn't like that people attacked Hollinger for not putting Rose as MVP. For a couple of reasons, 1 being that Rose isn't the clear MVP, second being that there is nothing wrong with having dissenting opinions. that said, it felt like Hollinger went against Rose because everyone was on the rose bandwagon and he got a lot of exposure for his anti-rose rhetoric.
  4. It's great to be in the playoffs, but that's why losing that game yesterday hurt. Would have had a much better chance of getting some home ice if they manage to get past Vancouver. Well of course we wouldnt be playing Vancouver if we lost that game. Unless you mean if we got past Vancouver in the 2nd round. The way I look at it is, we get to find right off the bat whether we can compete in these playoffs. We were going to have to face Vancouver in the 2nd round if we won, so might as well get them right off the bat before they have any momentum from winning a playoff series. The fans will tell you they are glad they got Chicago becuase they want to knock us out. But in reality I'm sure a majority of them wanted Dallas. If we can put any doubt into the minds of the Canucks players, if we can take 1 of the first two in Vancouver, if we can bully them a bit and get them off their game, it becomes any team's series. My gut says Vancouver in 6, but my heart says Chicago in 6.
  5. I would also love to face Buffalo, Montreal or the Rangers in the SCF.
  6. This is how the Pirates are going to end that 19 year postseason drought...by tricking their opponents into submission.
  7. From that article....Vancouver's ranks this season: Goals scored: 1st Goals allowed: 1st Power Play: 1st Penalty Kill: 2nd Hawks: Goals scored: 4th Goals allowed: 12th Power play: 4th Penalty Kill: 25th (do we miss Sopel that much??)
  8. lol wow. Scott Burnside of ESPN.com picks the Hawks in 7. Although he admits that he is sticking with this preseason prediction of the Hawks returning to the SCF. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/playoffs/2011/columns/story?columnist=burnside_scott&id=6324854
  9. Even with how stretched out the NBA makes their first rounds, there is no way they give 3 off days between games 1 and 2. I don't think they ever do that even when traveling. It will be Saturday/Monday and the UC will be rocking 4 straight days I'm guessing the series will be something like: Saturday - Monday - Thursday - Saturday - Tuesday - Thursday - Saturday/Sunday
  10. Not only that but everyone kinda knew that the Hawks were gonna have to shed salary and that last year was probably their best chance for the next couple of years. So there was a lot of pressure all the way up until they won the thing.
  11. Sweet...his career 4.93 ERA is just what we need for this team.
  12. The biggest injury is to Manny Malhotra. He's been out since mid-march. I don't think he'll be able to play this series but I'm not sure.
  13. Game 1 - @ Vancouver Wednesday 4/13 at 9PM CST Game 2 - @ Vancouver Friday 4/15 at 9PM CST Game 3 - @ Chicago Sunday 4/17 at 7PM CST Game 4 - @ Chicago Tuesday 4/19 at 7:30 PM CST Game 5 - @ Vancouver Thursday 4/21 at 9PM CST Game 6 - @ Chicago Sunday 4/24 at 7PM CST Game 7 - @ Vancouver Tuesday 4/26 TBD
  14. Rumor is game 1 will be Wednesday night at 9pm cst
  15. Haha before this game, Minnesota was 0-3 against Dallas and outscored 12-3 in the 3 games. The Wild's starting goalie (Theodore) was 3-11-4 lifetime against the Stars with a .886 save percentage.
  16. The playoff schedules will be announced in about a half hour (9pm CST) on the NHL network
  17. Probably not since Buff was a big piece as to why we frustrated lu so much the last two years. Bolland was also a big threat and who knows if he plays. Versteeg also had some big goals. Our scoring depth won that series for us and we simply don't have that this year. That said, the only chance we have relies on our mental edge over them. If we could somehow take game 1 I could see some serious panic from Vancouver. Their fan base seems to have that "here we go again" feel to it similar to cubs fans. That shouldn't necessarily translate to the players but who knows.
  18. As long as I get some ketchup to go with it! I don't even care. I'm just so happy. Completely changed my mood.
  19. Somewhere in Vancouver, Roberto Luongo just broke out in sweat.
  20. PLAYOFFFS!!!! THANK GOD!!!!!! IM SO HAPPY!!!!!
  21. If we get in I won't care at all about the loss today. It will feel like we won. The only shitty thing is playing Vancouver as opposed to Anaheim.
  22. 3-3 after 2 is better than 4-1 or something. We have a fighting chance.
  23. Nice 2-2. Keep it that way for the next 37 mins please.
  24. At this point it looks like Miami is going to be the toughest barrier to the finals. Bulls were 3-0 against them but had to have been by a combined 10 points. Not saying that I don't think we can win, just that it'll be tough. Boston looks awful.
  25. At least I don't have to balance bulls and Blackhawks games on the same day.
