  2. Reading the Bruins boards, Chicago is the flukiest luckiest team ever,
  3. Not as bad of a start as the SOG would imply. I was hoping for a little more energy coming out at home though
  4. ugh, toews off the damn post

  7. Ugh. Can the Hawks-Bruins series be a best of 33? It's been fun ignoring the only other sports going on.
  8. Game 1 OT Thriller won by Chicago Game 2 OT Thriller won by Boston Game 3 Dominating Boston win Game 4 OT Thriller won by Chicago Am I talking about this series or 2009 Bulls-Celtics?
  9. Well he is a Red Wings fan, so that would be one strike against him. . I do remember him making a guest appearance in the booth during a regular season Hawks game a few years ago and Pat had Len do a few minutes of PBP...he was entertaining
  10. Please win tonight. Even if we don't win the series I'd love to at least make it competitive in terms of number of games. Woke up with a good feeling about this one, which means nothing but whatever. Just trying to think of times where the Hawks have needed to step up their game this year. Game 4 against Minnesota after being outplayed and losing game 3 they responded with 2 dominating wins to close out the series. Down 2-1 against Detroit the Hawks outplayed Detroit on the road despite losing and then dominated game 5. In game 6 they entered the 3rd period trailing on the road and responded with 3 goals to take the game. Game 7 they scored the winning goal but got screwed over and responded with the series winner early into OT. Game 5 against the Kings they were 9 seconds from winning and gave up the tying goal, they kept their composure and won in 2 OT. game 1 against Boston they were down 3-1 midway through the 3rd and managed to win. Desperation has brought out the best in this team and hopefully that continues tonight.
  11. ESPN says Hossa is likely to play in Game 4.....good news
  12. They just need to pretend like its 5-on-5. Dump it in, cycle the puck along the boards, find the open man, put it on goal and crash the net. Seems simple enough. And if that doesn't work, the next time Boston commits a penalty, commit one right back and go 4-on-4. I'm only half kidding.
  13. This was my worst fear from this game. Even play at home then go on the road and look inferior. I guess they didn't look that inferior in all facets but on the PP and on face offs it was just bad. I should have been more concerned that the Hawks were under 50% on face offs at home. Oh well. Not liking our chances but if we can somehow go into "down 3-1 against wings" desperation mode on Wednesday and win, this trip is a success. If not...well then Boston is probably going to win their 1058372th championship since 2001.
  14. Any save situation should be considered high leverage for Marmol at this point.
  15. I saw tiredness in OT -- or at least what I perceived to be tiredness. I guess it makes sense. Just OT after OT these past few games, it's got to wear on them eventually. I don't see why the Hawks can't play more like they did in the 1st period moving forward. They completely dominated the Bruins, and really the game shouldn't have even gone to OT. It was a classic ref mistake, not having enough visual angles to see where the puck is around the net. It happens. I'd like to pose a serious question: why do people around here think there's suddenly no chance? I went back and watched game 1 (I was traveling during most of the game). I saw the Hawks get beat fairly bad in the early 1st period, then adjust and pretty much dominate play in the 2nd period. Then they let a goal in the 3rd to go down 3-1, but adjusted quickly and scored a couple goals to tie it. To me, the Hawks did not get lucky in game 1. They won because they were supposed to -- they were the better team. Game 2, the Hawks controlled play the entire 1st period, then part of the 2nd. From about the halfway point of the 2nd period on, they were controlled. So, you've got the Hawks actually controlling more of the ice time so far, or at the very least a pretty even split. My question: how does this equal the Hawks having no chance whatever? 1 - yes reactionary irrational posts 2- the series was played so evenly at home and there's usually a jump in play by the home team in game 3 The worry is that in Boston even play is going to turn into controlled play by the Bruins. But worry is just that - worry. We won't know for sure until Monday and Wednesday
  16. No Hossa put that one in. hmm, Twitter seems convinced it was Toews
  17. I cant believe Toews has 1 goal in 19 playoff games. It completely defies all logic to me. I know he should have gotten one tonight, but its just insane overall...
  18. SOG the last 54 minutes of the game: Chicago 15 Boston 24
  19. After all the [expletive] you give vancouver you're panicking worse than Luongo with someone in front of him. Sorry, I'm just frustrated. Hawks were completely dominated the last 44 minutes of the game...they had no answers and generated very little offensively. We lost home ice and Boston has all the momentum. I'll calm down and make more rational posts shortly and talk about how the Hawks can win in Boston, but right now I'm just really frustrated. We really needed to win both of the home games, the way this series is playing out.
  20. I think they are even, but Boston has home ice now
  21. You are out of your mind. I'm not saying we didnt out play them in stretches in game 1, I'm talking about the million times they should have scored in OT to win it.
  22. I'm being a pessimistic bitch but I have a hard time seeing us going back to Chicago at anything other that 3-1 Boston.
