  1. Deng and the Bulls broke off extension talks and Deng's agent says Deng will explore FA after next season. Meh. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story/_/id/9658990/report-chicago-bulls-table-luol-deng-contract-extension-talks
  2. I started Lamar Miller and Issac Redmond as 2 of my 3 RBs (deep league, 12 teams, 2 QB, 4 WR, 3 RB) and they combined for 0.10 fantasy points last week. Yeah I know my RBs actually kind of suck (WR and QB are much better), but still I expect more than that. And yeah the new Yahoo [expletive] sucks. It told me in the 3rd quarter of Skins-Eagles yesterday that I had a 92% chance of winning in one of my leagues and 82% in another and I lost both. I am blaming it on Yahoo.
  3. Funny thing about Power Rankings...using ESPN's power rankings, the Bears have been in the top 10 at least 1 week in each of the last 9 seasons (since 2005), but have also been 22 or lower in 6 of those 9 years.
  4. This. They ran more plays in the 1st half than several teams ran all game on Sunday.
  5. It was pretty good yesterday...I like that they replay it immediate after the show (at 6) so I can catch what I missed on my drive home from work
  6. Since no one cares about your fantasy team, or mine, I want to start a catch all thread to rant about fantasy teams. I went 0-3 in my leagues this week. In one league I had Peyton Manning (65 points) and still lost by 2 to a guy who had Victor Cruz, D. Thomas and Adrian Peterson. I had the 2nd most points in the league, 18 more points than the team with the third most but played the team with the most and lost by 2. In another league I lost by 0.86 points because the Redskins went for 2 instead of kicking the extra point needed for victory. The kicker also missed a FG that would have given me the win. In the last league, about midway through the 3rd quarter of the Skins game I was up by 30 points as RG3 (who I was playing again) had -3.40 points. My opponent also had Hopkins. Of course RG3 throws a few garbage TDs, and Hopkins has an OK enough game so I lost by 3. FML. At least its not as bad as the time I lost a week by 0.04 points because Eli Manning took 2 knees (losing 4 rushing yards in the process) at the end of a MNF game.
  7. Chicago owns Cincinnati (over the last 31 hours)
  8. Wow, quite a response by Blatter re: Winter World Cup in Qatar
  9. I read somewhere that they are offering prospective STO's 4 tickets to the final homestand of the year for free to evaluate seats. Anyone get that? I'm way too lazy to check the last couple pages of this thread to see if this has been going on all year or not.
  10. I'm assuming because the Bears are 0-0 against the NFC/Division while many other teams are 1-0 in conference and the Lions are 1-0 against the NFCN
  11. Blame UMFan. sorry, I liked Kyle. Don't get me wrong, I was thrilled to dump his ass to get Jay Cutler, but I enjoyed the 2008 season, however disappointing it was.
  12. Out of curiosity, what sucks about the new Meadowlands? I've heard that from a few people. It looks nice on TV at least.
  13. Over Grossman? I thought Kyle was pretty decent until he suffered that high ankle sprain against the Lions in November. Fake edit: Up to that point (including Lions game) here were his numbers: 8 games, 62% comp %, 90.8 Rating, 1777 yards, 10 TD, 4 INT 7.3 YPA After he returned from the high ankle injury after missing just 1 week: 7 games, 55% comp %, 67.2 Rating, 1195 yards, 8 TD, 8 INT, 5.4 YPA Of course Orton turned out to be a pretty mediocre QB after given chances with the Broncos and Chiefs but I don't know why someone would have hated Orton coming out of the 2008 season.
  14. No. They opened 06 up on the road at Green Bay. They shut them out and a bunch of people won free furniture. Yeah I'm dumb, you are right
  15. They also lose a true home game playing overseas. Last night was Dallas' first week one home game since 2006. Weird scheduling abounds Meanwhile the Bears have started at home the last 4 seasons. And I know they started on the road in 05, 06, and 07.... Not sure about 08 but I remember being annoyed that they kept starting on the road. Weird. 08 they opened up Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday Night Football, but they actually opened up 06 at home against the Lions (and absolutely pantsed them) 2004 vs. Lions 2005 @ Redskins 2006 vs. Lions 2007 @ Chargers 2008 @ Colts 2009 @ Packers 2010 vs. Lions 2011 vs. Falcons 2012 vs. Colts 2013 vs. Bengals
  16. I can understand those that think this way, but with 9 minutes left my first thought was that we needed to get something there. Being down by 1 makes it so that no Bengals score makes it a 2 possession game, and if the defense stops them, you have most likely 2 possessions to get a FG to take the lead. I'm probably in the wrong, but that was my gut reaction to the situation. Also the fact that the Bears have been stuffed a lot in goalline situations played into my thoughts, even though I have no idea if the Bears convert at a lower percentage than most teams. Also, even if I'm going for it, I never have the balls to call a sweep to Atkins side of the field with 2 rookies blocking him. In short, I would be that annoyingly conservative coach who loses close games with my decisions.
  17. Yeah the Bengals used TO's twice in a row pretty much, one right before the 4th and inches play because they only had 10 guys on the field, and I think one right after that because they almost had 12 guys in the huddle. Reflects poorly on their coaching because it pretty much cost them the game.
  18. Hmm, I feel good about Long improving as the season goes on. Didn't notice any glaring mistakes except on that first possession of the game, but I have no ability to evaluate o-lineman except to notice when they f-up.
  19. Yeah I think he has the potential to be in that second tier of QBs below the elite guys. It helps that he has a decent o-line an elite WR and good TEs.
  20. They also lose a true home game playing overseas. Last night was Dallas' first week one home game since 2006. Weird scheduling abounds Meanwhile the Bears have started at home the last 4 seasons.
  21. Wouldn't be too amazed that he was undrafted and ended up being good. Only 14 of the 32 current starting kickers in the league were drafted into the league. The rest signed on as undrafted FA and fought to stick on a roster like Gould.
  22. Yup. Still [expletive] pissed the Packers rolled over for them in Week 17. Since that point both teams are a combined 1-4 and the one win was against the other so [expletive] them.
  23. Quiz: What event in today's game was Bennett talking about in this quote? His TD catch? Yup...quite a random quote though
  24. Looks like the line opens at Bears -6.5
