  1. should have taken the tie, the vikings actually have a shot even if its extremely unlikely
  2. Dammit I'm just praying he throws a pick here. It would be the greatest thing that ever happened to me or anyone i know
  3. At this point with 1st and 25 with 24 seconds left, the Packers should just take a knee and take the tie. Taking the chance of throwing a Pick 6 isnt work it here
  4. How many times since the new overtime rules took place has a team scored on their opening drive and not won the game? Can anyone remember it happening?
  5. makes sense. I'm certainly not taking a knee here but a tie is definitely an advantageous result here.
  6. I don't know whats more painful, the [expletive] the Bulls have dealt with the last few years with having a team that's (arguably) talented enough to win it all and have it destroyed every season with injuries, or the pain of watching a big market baseball team run in place while payroll decreases and the projected year of contention remains 2-3 years off all while basically fading into irrelevance in their city.
  7. im lucky because I'm a fan of the fringe team (hawks) and a fan of michigan basketball so I saw one team win it all and one team lose in the championship game (which I'm fine with, wasn't that painful). All the rest of the teams in this city can [expletive] themselves.
  8. Puts the Packers a half game behind us with Rodgers coming back. It's not good, but I guess its marginally better than a win. With 3:49 left the chances of the Vikings winning this are small
  9. I root for turkey. EDIT: Serious note, if the Packers lose today and win Thursday, it puts divisional tiebreakers back in the Bears' favor So for a 3 way tie that would be a good thing, but the Packers at 6-6 with Rodgers back and a game left against the Bears is a bit scary.
  10. If GB somehow lost this game, who do would we root for on thanksgiving, the Lions or the Packers? I've spent the last 5 minutes thinking about it. Probably the Packers but it's not clear cut.
  11. Yeah the Dolphins Martin/Incognito saga sure was fun as is Loria and the Florida Panthers.
  12. Paea, Melton, and Briggs for being injured and forcing them to play 4th and 5th string guys a lot. Add Collins and DJ Williams to that, plus a tip of the cap to Tillman being out
  13. nevermind, Packers have to settle for a FG, Vikings are still alive somehow
  14. Bears with another conference loss are going to have a really tough time winning tiebreakers for a WC spot
  15. And there's McCown's first turnover
  16. They're on DT #8, LB #6 and the safeties are awful. It's been blowing up since week 1. Yeah the defense may or may not be "done" but seriously they have practice squad guys starting for them
  17. Packers about to win. Flynn saved their season
  18. And hester takes one out from 9.5 yards deep in the end zone, is tackled at the 9 and almost loses the ball to the Rams. Good stuff.
  19. disagree, again my decision is based on the decisions the bears have made this year and their inability to score from 1 yard out for the last decade or so, but several times this year. I understand the numbers favor going for it, and normally I am pretty aggressive about going for it there. And you still never take the FG there. Disagree all you like, but the FG is the wrong call. It's a coach's "get out of jail free" call, but it's the wrong call in 99.99% of situations. i know you are a numbers guy and i know what the numbers say, i still think in that situation you kick a FG. I probably look dumb for being so adamant about it but I am going to have a hard time changing my mind there, as illogical as it may sound to you.
  20. Panthers win. Won't need to worry about them anymore they are WC 1 at a minimum. If SF somehow wins this week its going to be close to division or bust for the Bears, which isn't looking good if GB wins today.
  21. Of all the things to bitch about w/ Trestman this game, that 4th down is way, way low on the list. The playcalling at the goal line is a bigger issue than going for it on 4th down when your defense blows.. right, the fact that Trestman has repeatedly made poor play calls in those situations makes the decision for me. You kick the FG and take the points again ive agreed with every other 4th down decision the Bears made this year until that one No, you don't take the FG there. 23. Whoops nevermind. Rams are going to get a FG, putting the Bears down by 9, and Trestmans 4th down thing will be questioned
  24. But they are well rested!!! All we need is one stop somehow, I feel confident the Bears can score if they get it back down 6 as long as they don't get the ball inside the 2 yard line.
