  1. lmao, I forgot about that post. This is game number 118, I think we know our Chicago Cubs at this point.
  2. Gotta hand it to the pen...****** opponent and some dicey situations they put themselves in but 1 run allowed in 4 IP after Taillon made it a game again and knowing based on past experiences that the Cubs probably arent going to give them much run support.
  3. 3-0 against the White Sox with 3 one run wins
  4. I mean he's done it 3-4 times this year so yeah I'm guessing he needs to be reminded lol
  5. I hate this team lol ^^ I had this ready to post whether they won or lost
  6. Its sad that the announcers have to warn the Cubs closer multiple times not to balk in the tying run.
  7. I'm sure Robert would love to walk off the Cubs
  8. The White Sox 8, 9 and 1 hitters have a .485 OPS, .560 OPS, and .595 OPS this year keep that in mind when Neris walks the first one and is down 3-1 in the count on the 2nd one.
  9. It is not shocking at all that the Cubs scored 7 runs with ease and then as soon as the game started tightening up couldnt manage any more runs against what I have to assume is a horrifically bad bullpen.
  10. did they? I know the other CS the White Sox had was close enough that they had the camera on Sizemore to see if it would be challenged, but they didn't. Believe that was the 6th, so I don't think so.
  11. I think he was out even after the replays, but it was close enough that I could definitely be wrong and I'm shocked it wasn't reviewed.
  12. So close we can taste it now! Just need to get 3 more outs going up against the White Sox 8-9-1 hitters.
  13. You can already see the amazing story being written. New manager in their 1st game, down 7-0 early against their arch rival, no reason to think they could come back or that they would even care about trying to come back in a season that’s been over for months.
  14. Obviously not Tauchman’s fault at all but 3 outs on the bases tonight is no bueno
  15. I was just about to ask if Tauchman should have gotten to 3rd in Happ’s single and suddenly he’s doubled off 2B
  16. It seems like a certainty that the Cubs will not score again and that single run has to hold up for 6 more outs. Prove me wrong Cubs
  17. If you followed the 2024 Cubs with any degree of regularity, I doubt you’d be THAT shocked lol
  18. Can we just fast forward to the part where Neris has the bases loaded with 1 out protecting a 2 run lead in the 9th?
  19. Nice inning. Can we score some runs now please?
  20. Yep, everyone gets relaxed and starts enjoying themselves in the game thread and the all the sudden it’s panic. Feels very much like that game with the difference being that we’re now playing one of the worst teams in baseball for potential added insult. serves us right for trying to enjoy baseball!
  21. You think Leiter, who pitches 1 inning in maybe 1 out of every 3 games is the biggest reason the Cubs bullpen era is a full run lower than everyone else’s in baseball over the last 5 weeks? Come on we’ve seen a lot of great pitching from several guys out of the pen.
