Sounds fitting since he destroyed the Bears for the large majority of his Packer career. Would have loved to see it done for their Vikings game though.
Also I remember thinking I was so baseball smart (probably because I was posting in a virtual kindergarden of Cubs discussion) and got shot down quickly when I made an early argument that Juan Cruz would never make it as a starter because he's too skinny (maybe I'm right...we're having the same discussion about Edwards).
ESPN.com. I remember that dude from Cincinnati, Davemason, and that HTC troll guy (cant remember if thats what it was, I know his name was an ackronym for something Cubs hate related). I was proud that I rescured Soul and told him about NSBB, but he doesn't remember that. My first post here was minutes before Game 2 of the 2003 NLDS. My first NSBB Cubs meltdown was probably an hour or two later.
Have we talked about ideal lineups yet? Where do we slot Russell? I want to put him like 6th or 7th but that would probably put someone like Coughlan 9th.
probably puts us like top 15 until schwarber, torres, and almora (and mckinney and eloy and uhh whatever random pitchers pop up) put us back in the top 10? And top 10 pick
I was watching the Cubs all night...what happened with Niko? Was limping around in the locker room after the game. Not sure what it was that actually happened. He got tangled up with Zaza at the end of the game, who kind of fell on top of him. Niko responded by shoving him and both teams had to seperate them. When he came out he was limping noticably. At this point it doesn't seem like there's ligament damage or anything, just a bad bruise I think. Fridell said there was also concern of a concussion.
There have been a few that haven't been All Stars. Most notably Hee Seop Choi, but that was the year they did one representative for each country and they needed a representative from South Korea.
Yeah, that's not going to happen, and you shouldn't want it to happen. The sooner Russell is up here and Jonathan Herrera isn't getting starters' ABs, the more games the Cubs will likely win. I'm not sorry that I am selfish like that. Selfish? If you are a Cubs fan, its not selfish its dumb to want to hurt the team you cheer for so that you can watch a guy play in a relatively meaningless game 2 months from now.
Me too. Obviously we need him back in the lineup working his way back to Chicago, but many things transcend sports and this is one of them. Take all the time you need.
