    Lots of solid contact off Lester. Everyone up has hit it hard so far.

    Also a couple of beat writers are claiming Bryant could be up sooner than later if LaStella and Olt don't heal up quickly. Typhoid Fever could strike the entire Cubs team and Bryant still wouldn't be up before Friday at the earliest. I bet the Cubs are hoping they have a ready made excuse to bring him up as soon as they can.

    I am trying not to think about the offseason until its the offseason, but Hammer has his moments and I like what I saw from Van Riemsdyk when he played earlier this year.

    I believe they did. However, if you're getting wild card seeding in the playoffs, you're not division champs in my book. Well at least we won't have to worry about those scenarios anymore with the newest wild card game system.

    Fun stuff when you sort of resign yourself to the Cubs losing and then they all the suddenly come back and win. It feels awesome and dirty.

    I was at the Cubby Bear for the last game. Immediately after the Sox won, I went outside and there was a group of about 40 White Sox fans standing in front of the Wrigley marquee chanting "[expletive] the Cubs!" and "1908" I mean holy hell, that is how you choose to spend your first few minutes of celebrating the first World Series title of your lifetime?

    Who would be salty that Kane returned ahead of schedule? Mostly because people expected him to be out until mid May and now the Hawks were able to add 2 of the best players available at the deadline and Kane didn't have to miss any "important" games
