  1. Can believe its been 18 days since the last game at the UC
  2. how did they not know you can't head the puck in? that was so weird. My first thought was that there was no way that was legal but the [expletive] announcers gave me false hope. [expletive] them.
  3. I think we split at home but still win the series in 6. I cannot think of a series where the Hawks didn't play better as the series went on. I guess the only 2 examples in the Q era are the WCF against Detroit in the first playoff run and the series against Phoenix with Hossa out and Toews not right from the concussion.
  4. I was impressed by Vermettes play too. He was real solid.
  5. Pretty much in standing on head mode
  6. [expletive] dumb penalty
  7. Still won't be panicked if we lose this but really don't want to waste a very winnable game
  8. Do you have NBCSN at home? I believe they allow streaming with a cable login if that's a palatable option: http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra/ That's what I'm doing. I'm in a hotel without nbcsn so I brought a chromecast and the NBC Live Extra App
  9. So much better. Those video boards were really outdated and shitty
  10. I think it's a combo of rust, bad luck and timely mistakes. Also give credit to the Goalie he made some good stops and/or the Hawks had several near misses that could have been goals easily
  11. Between intentional walks and HBPs, Solers OBP is skyrocketing
  12. Seems pretty likely that 2 of those guys will not be on the team tomorrow. I still think Motte will turn it around. I'd keep him around. The other 2 can go far far away though.
  13. So who is going to close if the Cubs are still ahead in the 9th?
  14. Welp Schlitter is back up might as well throw him right back into a high leverage situation (I know the pen is really taxed)
  15. I'm not sure that's how you meant to phrase that Haha whoops. Other way around
  16. Jackson has pitched well? I am assuming I am missing something because my baseball knowledge dwarfs yours, but I see a 4.85 xFIP
  17. Dunleavy? He's a free agent, who I don't see being brought back. Yeah in that Lowe article he pointed out that if/when the Bulls sign Butler to a max they will be 1.6m under the tax without accounting for Dunleavy or an Aaron Brooks replacement. I guess it's possible they would go over the tax simply because they won't have to pay Boozer $15 mil not to play for them this year but you also want to be careful any time you go over the tax due to the potential of repeater penalties down the road. Basically is it worth going over the tax to bring back the same team swapping out Brooks for a more consistent backup PG? I think it's more likely they trade Taj or Noah and either resign Dunleavy or use the full MLE for a more athletic wing.
  18. I hope he's ok so I don't have to feel bad about laughing my ass off
  19. @BruceMiles2112: #Cubs scoreboard operators take down "NITE GAME" from CF board and starting posting night-game pitchers
  20. Welp Bryant will have to homer to get the Cubs within 2
