  1. Worst case scenario make sure Schwarbs gets a shot
  2. Come on, we have to at least tie....anything but a popup or K would be good, even a GIDP ties it
  3. I hate to say this but this is one of the few siutations i would bunt. 2nd and 3rd with 1 out and 2 hot hitters in russell and fowler due Edit: well I guess 1st and 3rd with 0 out and a runner in is pretty good too :)
  4. we're not even helping with the PC....he's in a position to pitch 8-9 innings
  5. I think hes literally just broken right now. He had a really good stretch this year where he was fairly dominant. It's hard to watch right now but I am not ready to give up on him yet.
  6. dammit Gonna be tough against shelby miller especially if hendricks isnt done giving up runs
  7. actually the first 6-7 games he was terrible. obviously picked it up
  8. Didn't look like he hit it on the right part of the bat
  9. Injuries aside, Wada was always better than Haren Yes, the concern was whether Wada was going to only be able to go 5 innings and tax your bullpen when Haren has averaged between 6-7 IP per start this year (pre cubs) But throw that all out the window because the 3 of them are only pitching 4-5 innings quite often
  10. Hendricks is broke. It's pretty bad if you are wondering if Wada could give you more quality innings than Hendricks and Haren (and Hammel lately)
  11. Just for fun...Dexter Fowler since July 12 (32 games): .331/.461/.562/1.023
  12. Much shorter sample size but .324/.350/.568/.918 over the last 11 games
  13. Relevant because Toyota includes the word 'toy'
  14. He was gung-ho on the entire idea of a rebuild and how Pujols was going to be old and broken down, and pretty much all of us yelled at him and told him how stupid that was, the Cubs obviously weren't going to do a rebuild. Not that it means he wasn't being stupid, it's just funny in retrospect. Kyle, as we sit here on August 20 with the fourth best record in baseball with a bunch of players, most very young, performing very well and who were acquired as a direct result of the tem being bad, you're still going to call the rebuild stupid? It was risky, as we got huge gifts from the Astros, Orioles, and Athletics and it certainly sucked to watch, but this is pretty sweet right now. You haven't been harping on it lately, but you have to have softened your stance a little, right? Won't for sure speak for him, but I don't think he has. I'm pretty sure he will talk about how long Theo hasn't made the playoffs and that some of these young guys might start to decline next season. And that's OK. I don't at all agree, but respect the take even though he's wrong. Rather, even if. Yeah I don't agree with him either but I definitely respect and appreciate that he has a differing opinion and isn't afraid to break through the groupthink.
  15. Sure wild he nice to win the Shelby Miller/Hendricks matchup tomorrow. We beat Shelby earlier this year right?
  16. I'm on my phone and at first all I saw was the Cutler one which is pretty bad, but then I scrolled over and saw the Kane one. Oh dear
  17. Now that I did not remember. I thought davhern became davearm, and you were always just David. Sorry. i thought he was davemason from espn.com boards
