    I get nervous whenever Arrieta is pitching because I don't want him to give up any runs ever. It could be 15-0 and I'd be on the edge of my seat.

    How about 2003 when the Bears started 1-5 and 3-7 before they desperately tried to save Jauron's job and went 4-2 to finish 7-9. There were 3 teams that finished 6-10, 6 more that finished 5-11 and no teams finished before 4-12. The Bears picked 14th (and admittedly got a solid player in Tommie Harris who was a star until injuries). Players picked before the Bears include: Eli Manning, Larry Fitzgerald, Phillip Rivers, DeAngelo Hall, Ben Roethlisberger and Jonathan Vilma

    WTF dude. Do not compare Bonds with those situations. Sorry I was more using examples of widely hated players embraced by their home teams, but yeah I shouldn't lump Bonds in with those 2

    I just hope it's not one of those situations where the fan base ends up adoring a criminal (or accused criminal) more than they should because everyone else hates him. I'm thinking of people like Barry Bonds and the Giants or Ray Lewis and the Ravens

    I'd take him at 3/30, guessing he'll go for the 1 year deal though. I wonder if he'll just take the QO and/or if the White Sox even extend it to him? If I'm Shark, I need a fresh start and look elsewhere. Are the Sox even going to offer him the QO? Are his numbers the last 2 years still good enough for compensation? Even if they are, do they want risk him coming back next year?

    Not sure if this should go in this thread or the other Hawks on but report out of Buffalo says Kane is expected to be at Blackhawks training camp when it starts Friday

    Last night's game was great too. Big Fielder HR in the 8th. Side note: I'm hoping for a crazy scenario where the Angels come back and the Angels, Rangers, Astros and Twins all end with the same record and they have to use this tiebreaker: What in the hell?
