    Just a heads up, Coghlan is controlled for one more season. I'd think he could be trade bait maybe. How much does a 2.5 win player go for in his final arb year? Probably too much for someone who will be a bat off the bench. Not saying we'd get a ton for him but financially it makes sense. Fake edit: MLBTR has Coghlan projected to make $3.9m next year

    I doubt it changes the outcome, but it would have been nice to get him one more playoff start over that POS we threw out there last night. I thought Jason Hammel would step up and be decent in the playoffs, or at least able to go 5 innings and keep the team in the game. To think we probably would have been better off with Dan Haren starting.

    Pretty obvious reason being because it's a Wednesday night and were all commiserating about a lost season? I sure know that if my team just clinched a World Series berth I wouldn't be on a "facking" Mets forum. Regardless I love the trolls, keep it coming.

    The Mets being talked about as on equal footing with the Cubs in terms of fan suffering has [expletive] pissed me off all week. They won a title less than 30 [expletive] years ago and I've seen them play in a Series. Put it this way, there is no video or audio record of our last World Series title as there was no TV or radio. There is no color video of our last World Series appearance. What will Mets fans say...thank God we finally get to watch a World Series in HD!

    5 days ago we were feeling good about going to the World Series. It seemed like a realistic thing that could really happen and now the concept feels so damn far away from reality, placed back into my imagination. 5 damn days
