I've already been there. Pretty sure this is a mediocre team that doesn't have good enough pitching and has an offense that has slumped too much. That said, the smart people on the board seem to think we will be fine, so that offers me hope. I don't know if there is any thing that smart people know other than "most of these players won a championship last year and are playing the worst division in baseball right now so are only 1 game out of 1st place." I would have expected the starting pitching to come around by now. I think last year at this time, every starter had an ERA in the 2's. This year if you combine Butler/Anderson everyone has an ERA over 4. Is that fatigue from extra innings? Is the regression that severe? I feel like every time I think one of them is coming around (Lester had his ERA around 3.10 after his CG, Hendricks had a run of solid starts, Lackey had the 8 IP game vs. the Cardinals, Arrieta has been pretty decent lately), they fall back down.
