    It feels like how I about Heyward last year. Performance not representative of talent, probably a mechanical or mental adjustment needed, unlikely anything is going to change before next year. Yes you can say Heyward isn't fixed but he's at the bottom of a bad slump and his OPS is still 70 points higher than last year.

    My concern is that his wrist injury that hasn't fully recovered is the reason for all of this. Then again, i guess if Joe thought the wrist was an issue he wouldnt keep putting him at cleanup, would he?

    https://twitter.com/Cubs/status/897184105103839237/photo/1 I really don't get why Zobrist keeps hitting cleanup. He has a .180/.269/.255/.524 line since May 25th (arbitrary endpoints are back!) and .440 OPS over last 15 games. He's not protecting anyone right now.

    yeah well i dont think he's going to carry a K rate above 40% for too long with an OPS like that

    I almost wonder if they specifically wanted Wade to pitch to Goldschmidt and Martinez in case they find themselves facing the DBacks in the NLCS. If that's the case, Wade now knows what pitch not to throw Goldschmidt.

    I read somewhere that he has some sort of mechanical issue that's causing him to suck. Maybe the Bears think they have a way to fix it?

    I feel way more nervous than I should about Wade Davis coming in with a large lead and not to start the inning. Which is to say not very nervous but as we all know these types of innings never seem to be easy for Wade

    Well everyone was worried about a weekend when the Cardinals and brewers were both at home against bad teams and the Cubs were on the road against a playoff team. We are 3 outs from holding serve this weekend and pushing the Pirates a little further back

    I don't know. You're really freaking out. Despite the Cubs making everyone miserable, the Cardinals have been no better -- even after winning 35 games in a row. They aren't a team to quake in your boots over. It's going to be a close race. But I don't know why you are freaking out now. Not freaking out. just frustrated at watching this team which makes me say things. So annoyed that they've followed up their only really great stretch of the year with another really poor one.
