  1. It's crazy to see a Cubs prospect list with 8 of the first 10 prospects being pitchers.
  2. It's actually syndicating on something called the Audience Network, which is only available on AT&T Uverse and Direct TV. I was at a hotel with Direct TV in July and was stunned to find the episode where Don founds Sal with the bellhop on TV in the middle of the afternoon.
  3. Yep we are going to start the minor league catcher with a .786 AAA OPS to catch the minor league pitcher making his MLB debut in the middle of a penant race despite having 4 other players on the roster capable of playing catcher. Edit: Lineup - Jay back at leadoff!
  4. '84? Pshah. Fair weather fan. Come back when you've been a fan since '69. I rooted for them for at least a few years before that. But I must admit, I remember rooting for the White Sox in '83 so I felt that disqualified me from calling myself a true fan until '84. I was young and stupid. Don't feel bad, I was always a Cubs fan but I had a slight lean towards the White Sox in the early 90's. I worshiped Frank Thomas. By 98, I was a clear Cubs fan but still rooted for the Sox to do well until about 2003. Like you said young and stupid, just a different era
  5. Different sport but why don't you ask Ilya Kovalchuk about that? I'm pretty sure there was no CBA violation there, but the NHL had the right to void any contract that was deemed to be taking advantage of a loophole to circumvent the rules. I would assume the MLB has a similar clause but I could be wrong. That said, if there is anyone that is spending 20 hours of day pouring over the CBA looking for a loophole they can exploit, its Theo N. Epstein
  6. Pisses me off seeing this after hearing Hub yesterday praise Glennon's play last week
  7. I pretty much ignore Barstool sports and don't really know anything about them. Why does everyone hate them? I want to be mad online too.
  8. Geez I know the Mets are bad but I don't know if I want to really handcuff us.
  9. After watching all these gifs I am very close to another rewatch. I was looking for gifs and remembering this scene pushed me over the edge, I'm starting S1E1 tonight.
  10. Sounds good to me. I'm going to start posting a lot more if I know I have free likes coming my way. FWIW I am auto-liking anything with a Mad Men gif so if you want free hearts... Edit: I will also auto-like any Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul or pre-season 9 Simpsons gif as long as there is some context. http://i.imgur.com/Y5Utcnw.jpg
  11. You haven't watched Mad Men? http://33.media.tumblr.com/0065e85f43b6c9c3a3fc8becd36fb0cd/tumblr_nnhfva14iZ1rm0qhbo5_r1_250.gif Get on it!
  12. They were 4 games back in the loss column entering the game tonight, that very likely isn't happening despite the LOLDodgers recent suckage. I mean they do play 3 games in Washington against them this weekend. Anything but a sweep would really harm their chances but they still have a shot.
  13. Disagree You're right that's bad. He can playfully reach out 1-2 times on twitter to all the porn stars he wants.
  14. Willy is horsefeathering awesome. He can harass all the porn stars he wants as far as I'm concerned.
  15. Meanwhile Lester is back to throwing balls to shitty ass hitters
  16. Man how did the Pirates think they would compete this year? They are garbage and have been a complete doormat to the top 3 teams in the division this month. 5-14 against Cubs, Cardinals and Brewers since mid-August if they lose today.
  17. Perfect Cubs way to take the lead. Score runs but BA w RISP goes down
  18. i can't wait for someone to look this up and it turns out he has like 1 or something lmfao I can think of 2 for sure. Today and against the Dodgers last year
  19. http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/donshocked.gif
  20. When this has happened previously they've moved these games to neutral ground...I think that's the bone of contention here. That's how Zambrano ended up with a no-no against the Astros in Milwaukee. Not always though, I'm pretty sure there have been instances of teams playing at the road teams ballpark as the home team. I'm sure if there was a way for the games to be played at a neutral site they would have. Unless there's a deep conspiracy within the commissioner's office to give the Brewers these games at home as payback for the Cubs switching the time of a game and raining another out even though it didnt rain. Either way, it won't matter. Let them have 3 extra home games. Although if you want to be fair, feel free to move the Rays series next week to Wrigley
