  1. Heading to the other side of the sports spectrum: https://www.newyorker.com/sports/sporting-scene/the-chess-world-finally-pauses-for-the-coronavirus
  2. Stone got way too much credit for way too many things for way too long. "Racky-tacks" was fine and all, but just imagine what JD and Len could have done with the replay of something like that.
  3. This was done for James Harden a year or so ago. Yes, he thanked the guy who did the Harden thing at the end.
  4. how could that be???? Aaron Rodgers is GOD!!!!! (what if....Rodgers really can't see TE's)
  5. Lukewarm take: the Bucs pass for less yards and TDs under Brady than under Winston. But turn over the ball 25 fewer times and have a winning record. Additional icecold take: Brady will throw over 5 picks provided he plays close to 17 games (which he won't). That, and a lack of INTs won't result in Evans getting HOF buzz. You guys realize Brady is 43 years old and is going into a new system with an oline that ranked 22 is pass protection, compared to an oline that ranked 5th last year, right?

  7. Yesterday but still relevant enough to discuss. Bills seeing their chance with the Pats QB situation uncertain. Just hadn't seen anyone mention it. It makes sense from the Bill's perspective. Why are the Vikes extending Cousins while trading away their best WR for draft picks? The haul isn't bad, but unless there are more movers after this to get another top notch WR, this move by itself makes little sense.
  8. Diggs traded to Buffalo.
  9. I felt Graham was done with a capital D two years ago. Nothing I observed in the next two years convinced me otherwise. Really weird. His blocking has actually improved, though.

  13. I think that's a pretty good question. The cat is out of the bag and the spread can't be completely stopped, and there is a tipping point where economic catastrophe (you know, famine and the like) is as bad as stemming the spread. Keeping the hospitals from being overrun is priority 1 now, but I don't think many people should pretend to know when/where that tipping point is.
  14. Since I was least excited about this season than any other in the past, oh, 8 years, I'm not too broken up about it. Maybe the cost cutting measures were just galaxy-brained, amazing foresight.
  15. I think it actually does a pretty good job of driving home the urgency of the situation. Not that I expect they had that in mind.
  16. Blood type is kind of like Japanese astrology, but taken much more seriously. During WW2, Japanese amry units used to be segregated by blood type not because everyone could donate blood to each other or have the correct supply on hand, but because it was believed they would work as units better. They even have laws that you can't ask about blood type before job interviews, and often times the laws are disregarded.
  17. I don't understand. Why did this guy have substances the other teams couldn't use on their own? Was he placing it on the mound in a way to make it harder to find out about or something?
  18. Embarrassing isn't the word I would choose...are you Laura Rickets? I dont get the reference I would use the word "infuriating." The only reason to be embarrassed is if you had some kind of ownership or management stake in the Cubs.
  19. Embarrassing isn't the word I would choose...are you Laura Rickets?
  20. I wonder if this is also going to be a Kenley Jansen situation where he can't make the Coors Field trip anymore. I would doubt it.
