  1. This millenium? Carimi and Williams immediately come to mind (not that it changes the overall point) I had to look up the name but Columbo was the guy I always used to think of as the “well that didn’t work so let’s never draft a lineman again” pick.
  2. I think this is easily the best LWT since lockdown:
  3. I was thinking that the entire episode. Now, maybe his three percentage (best career percentage of ALL TIME) was super amazeballs because Jordan and Pippen spread defenses so thin, but his shooting stats can only lie so much. He was one of the best ever. Given that outside of (most) of his years with Chicago the dude's overall value was pretty meh, that bold part does seem pretty key. The prime of his career was all with the Bulls, his season without Jordan in Chicago was still bonkers, and he had a +.500 3% elsewhere. He was a really, really good long distance shooter.

  5. I've been on a Soul Coughing kick for the past few weeks, so that was cool.
  6. I don't want the PA to give an inch on further salary reductions. Like Andrew Miller said in that story, player salaries have never been adjusted either way by attendance before and there's no good reason it should start now. Seriously. I hope they ask for hazard pay.
  7. Stop bringing up the Jets before you get this locked again.
  8. There is a UFC event scheduled for tonight. One of the fighters, Jacare, and two of his cornern men tested positive for COVID. https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2020/05/ufc-249-ronaldo-souza-tests-positive-coronavirus-event-to-proceed
  9. You realize that IMB used to only converse with me with the same "totally normal behavior" stuff as recently as this winter, right? If we are agreeing on something, it just means we are right. The Jets are boring AF and so is Tom. I have no idea why you are going after me now, and I really don't think you ought to be wading into the realm of evaluating others' mental capacities. I'm not going after you at all, just noting that I agree that you and imb! make a wonderful couple. I'm happy for you both really. You told me I was sucking his dick and said I was dumber than a Juggalo...
  10. Yeah, but that's also because you're a Packers fan; the Jets are a horsefeathering joke. That would be one important aspect of it, yes. Parental discretion iz advised.
  11. I can see that, its like the gathering of the juggalos but with less mental capacity You realize that IMB used to only converse with me with the same "totally normal behavior" stuff as recently as this winter, right? 12. Its the nfl thread. No one cares about any team but their own. If Tom wants to post about the Jets, who cares? If you don’t like Tom, ignore him. But you know Dylan, just gotta cyber creep cuz he’s nothing more then a horsefeathering wanna be Texan anyway.. i guess thats the dick you want to suck too now? totally normal behavior lol Yeah, that's always been my MO here. They call me Junk Sucking Judas. IMB and I are going to be besties from here on out... I don't like Tom for a whole bunch of reasons. Some are superficial and some are deeper than that. But I can guarantee you that if I posted about my favorite NFL team as unprompted and uninterestingly (apart from the clearly delusional part) as Tom does with his Jets, you would lose your mind about it. We can all practice discretion, and Tom refuses to. If he's allowed to tell us what shampoo Gase is switching to this season, then the least I should be allowed to do is say the Jets are boring and lame and I'd rather hear about CFL goings ons.
  13. SHUT UP ABOUT THE JETS Why? At this point they have more upside then the horsefeathering cowboys Even if the Jets won the Superbowl, which they won't, no one would care about the Jets.
  14. In 92-93, I had just moved from Germany to an Air Force Base just outside of Phoenix, which no longer exists, but was testing the B2 bomber while I lived there, which was kinda cool. I had talked an insane amount of trash with my friends and my teacher, who was an excellent teacher at a really, really bad school...the name of the school had "Accomodation" in it, so expectations were not high. Game 5 of those finals really had me nervous. I hadn't seen footage of it since I watched the games live. Its weird how stuff like that can make long forgotten memories come flooding back.
  15. Definitely seems to be a lot of revisionist history going on in this doc https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/ken-burns-michael-jordan-the-last-dance-1234594868/ I still love it though.
  16. I remember savoring the sweep of Miami in 07 the year after they beat the Bulls in the playoffs. 91 vs Detroit must have been that times, I don't know, 200? I was 9 when the Bulls finally beat the Pistons. I agreed with MJ. It was better than winning the title.
  17. So, sportsbetting is coming to Colorado May 1st, and to get people prepped for it, Draftkings offered a few dumb prop tournaments for free. One of them was just guessing over unders on how hot it would get on a particular day in different cities around the state. Hillariously lame. Slightly less lame was a bunch of prop bets for the latest episode of Last Dance. Will Pippen or Rodman show up on screen first? Stuff like that. There was a 5k prize pool and only 46 people entered! I got 8/11 right and tied for 3rd to get 214 bucks. If I had known so few people were playing, I wouldn't have gone so contrarian in some of my picks. One more right pick woulda been 800 more dollars.
  18. That game alone is probably the reason A Ram is one of my favorite Cubs.
  19. He erased a lot of his good will with me when he tried to erase the face of a well-liked teammate with his fists.
  20. How one scouts Love aside, I think if Love does wind up the 12th best QB in the league (that's a huge if), its OBVIOUSLY worth it, and not even close. Put aside that the player you would have gotten instead of Love could bust, the number of wins that a 12th-best-QB-in-the-league is worth compared to literally any other position, elite talent or not, is not comparable. That said, Love is definitely a boom-bust prospect. His closest comp is Mahomes. His chances of being as good are obviously low, but that's his ceiling. Rodgers isn't a bad guy. I think he has a right to be fairly PO'd at the Packers front office over the years (the comment about no first round offensive skill picks during Rodgers' tenure until now is telling) but he's well aware of the Farve-Rodgers / Rodgers-Love parallels, and I'm all but certain he's going to attempt to have a good relationship with the guy. The main reason that the Farve-Rodgers relationship soured was that Rodgers and the Packers knew that Rodgers was better than Farve, and Farve was Farve. Love isn't going to be better than Rodgers within the next few years. Now, if the Packers don't grab at least a few WRs with their next 4 picks, Rodgers is probably going to get vocal about his displeasure, and things might get ugly.
  21. On the topic of least favorite Cubs, I was looking for the one where Jeff Fassero played the role of Brooks from Shawshank Redemption, but I couldn't find it. Instead, you get these two: https://web.archive.org/web/20110912023921/http://dugout.progressiveboink.com/archive/jon27.html https://web.archive.org/web/20120414230734/http://dugout.progressiveboink.com/archive/dugout5-7-06.htm
  22. This is lame. Happ ruining our "he kills people for fun" trope by exposing himself as a nice normal cool guy. Pretty brave of Nico and company to take the invite!
