Yeah, those were the days. I was largely a limit, cash game specialist, but I played a lot of NL tournaments and sit and goes as well. One afternoon I had an especially bad run, and decided to stop for the day. I headed up to Boulder to hang with friends, and they wanted to go play a tournament which was a school fundraiser. First prize was a "water pipe."
We were down to the final table, and I noticed one other kid playing pretty strongly. I asked if he player a lot online, and he said, "Yeah, had my worst day ever, so I let my friends talk me into playing this thing." I tell him that's exactly why I'm there as well. He says, "Bet I lost more than you!" I told him that was unlikely. So we both wrote our losses that day onto a sheet of paper and traded. I wrote 19k. He wrote 19.5k. We both laughed and laughed and the table looked at us like we were insane. Good times.
