  1. Trade for DWade around the midseason mark? Can't they just wait to sign him? They could, but give 'em Salmons. If the Bulls think they want to get out of the first round, you gotta get Wade. But you are right, you don't have to do this now. But you could get outbid for him in the offseason.
  2. While the Bulls lose Ben Gordon, I like them better with Deng at 3 and Salmons at 2. The defense is much improved. Gordon could score, but he was too streaky for me and wasn't particularly good at getting fouled at the end of the game. If there was a consistent way to measure +/-, Gordon would be at the very bottom of that category too.

  4. I didn't see a change of direction on the ball. I needed a better angle.
  5. Going to be Cleveland ball. DON'T FOUL!
  6. This could be a big big road win if the Bulls can pull it out. Terrible possessions by both teams the last two tries. It looked rushed. Lebron travels on nearly every drive.
  7. Tyrus' time is going to be diminished if Gibson keeps playing like that. I guess Gibson has a long wingspan (7'4''), but he doesn't look big.
  8. Noah can make a jumper. Who would have thought! It is still one of the ugliest sots I have seen. LeBron makes Luol look so small. He is a man among boys.
  9. Rose has the injured ankle. He just hasn't looked himself this year.
  10. They aren't even close to Cleveland and Orlando. I'm just taking a shot in the dark here, but that may be why he thinks they can be 4th. Then why say they looked every bit as good as anyone outside of Boston if he meant outside of Boston, Cleveland and Orlando?
  11. They aren't even close to Cleveland and Orlando.
  12. Stern gave Ewing to the Knicks and Rose to the Bulls.
  13. Does anyone know why the shot clocks were on the floor?
  14. If I remember correctly, the defense was the group that hated him the most.
  15. I don't think I normally would care. Professional sports in 2009 has a much high level of fraternization than it used to. That is just the way it is. But the defense used to hate him when Cedric was there, how much more now that he is on the other team? Plus they were getting gashed by him all day.
  16. So we should keep Lovie because he refuses to adjust his scheme to fit his personnel? That is a great reason to keep a coach. Who changes a scheme in the middle of the year? Plus, it is not like they are in Cover-2 the entire game. Maybe 50% of the time. His personnel stinks no matter what scheme. You work on a scheme all during training camp. If you change your primary scheme at this level, you will get burned all the more. The Bears need to play better IN the scheme. That is why they practice all week.
  17. I think today's loss was just a bump in the road. They will be a .500 team at the end of the year and they are right there now. Lovie and his staff have had one of the best records since he started as head coach. And they have had far worse talent than the other teams around them. Is Lovie a great coach? No. But he has had one of the best records with just barely above average talent. I would like to see what he can do with good talent. He had two good years in 05 and 06. Since then the team has been mediocre, going 7-9, 9-7, and now 3-3. He is a mediocre coach. Now, I highly doubt he will be gone before his contract is up in 2011, but don't act like he is anything more then what he is, and don't get all high and mighty just because fans want a great coach, especially when Shanahan and company are available. The talent Lovie is given is worse than Lovie's coaching ability. And? That doesn't mean that we should be satisfied with Lovie. Fine. But there are bigger problems to fix and they should be fixed first. Lovie used to have a great defense. The scheme is the same. Lovie is the same. The players aren't.
  18. The Bears are a terrible blitzing team. They tend to get plugged up at the line. The defensive line has to play better. Tommie Harris is the key to this Cover-2 since he can/used to be able to put pressure on the QB enabling the ends to get single covered. Since he hasn't been himself and was injured today, nothing much can be done.

  20. I think Benson has more talent than Forte. But with the way this offensive line is playing, it wouldn't matter much. Forte got a lot of work last year, much more than he was used to. I wouldn't be surprised if that has something to do with his lack of production. I think Michael Turner is going through the same thing.

  22. Quit being so dense. Dense is saying that the Bears need to change their scheme after one bad game. No one does this. dense is pretending that people on this board are just now calling for a change in the coaching staff. dude i rarely even go in bears threads and i know a lot of the posters here want a change. Were they calling for one when they were 3-1? With the players the Bears have, they are only 8-8 or 9-7. The coaching staff can't get any more than that out of them. The Bears need new players more than a new staff.

  24. Ced got a raw deal? He didn't show much of anything on the field at the end and had problems with the law. No one regretted getting rid of him. Cedric needed to sit on his couch and realize he was about to be out of the NFL and his career was over. That was the only thing that would have given him the wherewithal to put his talent to use.
  25. seriously, stop trolling Seriously, it is a valid point because of the ridiculous overreaction on this board. No matter who coaches the team, with a bad offensive line and a slow inexperienced defensive backfield in addition to a lack of a pass rush today, the Bears were bound to lose.
