  1. He hit that and he was out for a month.
  2. Wow, and how was out for what, almost 2 months?
  3. I saw in another thread that Wuertz had a pretty solid year.
  4. I have no idea why the Cowboys threw at Bailey so much. What a DB!
  5. Sandberg in? I love Hendry trying to be nice about it, but he looks so silly doing it cause we all see through that. http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports_hardball/2009/10/cubs-fire-hitting-coach-von-joshua.html
  6. Didn't that happen once last year or the year before to someone else? I remember when Don Bebee tracked down a guy slowing down for a TD after an interceptions and knocked it out.
  7. So you're a fan of 3 of the last 4 Bears teams? (the 06 team only scored 46 but you know they were capable of 48 easily) I think this team will score 48 more than once this season They do play Detroit again. And with Hester in for the whole game hopefully.
  8. Like I said in last week's thread, Peter King named him his defensive POY one week. When was he cut? And for who? I know that Chris Harris played great last year too. I didn't blame the Bears for cutting him, but his talent really emerged last year.
  9. I don't think we've had a single 100 yard receiver this year... Hester has gone for 90 and Bennett 80
  10. Brandon McGowan seems to be playing great under Belicheck
  11. Johnson has had like 10 yards in the second half
  12. Gotta love Marinelli. The Bears are going to be leading the NFL in sacks after today. I'm sure glad he came over here. Now if Tommie Harris can ever get going. But it sounds like he is playing better.
  13. I can only think of one significant play he has ever made. The catch that set up Gould's FG that defeated Seattle in the playoffs in 2007.
  14. I can't believe that the Bears put up 41 with Cutler passing for 117 yards
  15. The game isn't on where I am. Why is Culpepper in?
  16. Not that Cutler is doing a lot with it today, but the Bears have been getting great field positions for years. I think they have been right at the top of the field position battle for at least the last two or three with Hester and Manning. Now we have a QB that will make teams pay for doing this. I think that if the Bears start getting that good of field position, the offense is going to rock. You either kick the ball out and give it to the Bears at the 40, or hope they don't bring it out to the 40 or the house. Great stuff!
  17. Rio has much worse violence. Chicago gangs don't carry grenade launchers. Th
  18. Daley is so ticked. He is going to tax Chicago residents to get his fifty million back now.
  19. Really? He was supposed to last week because Seattle has a terrible run defense. But a terrible run offense made up for that.
  20. That was Peter King though, and he's consistently much higher on the Bears. Don Banks has been pretty consistently down on the Bears. Peter King is kind of schizo with the Bears. He fluctuates betweer too much hate and too much love. What did he think of them the year they went to the Super Bowl? I remember Dr. Z from Si had them at the bottom or near the bottom.
  21. Heard this on the Boers and Bernstein show. Boy did the announcer go crazy. And for good reason.
  22. I think that "report" was in the context that if Urlacher tried to come back to soon (as in this year), he could have serious nerve damage and that could end his career. But if he waits to come back until next year, his injury is not career ending.
  23. I was wondering that too. I also found it interesting that they chose to use Joniak instead of Laravee. And they're playing it during the Packer games on the radio, too. I wonder how many Packer fans understand who that is :) I doubt many. I don't know of any of the visiting radio commentators except Laravee because he did the Bulls and Bears. I wonder if Joniak's call was just a made up one? I can't think of any games where the Bears won it by a tip at the end except Brown's two in 2001, and Laravee did that call for the Bears. This means nothing but Larivee has been the Packers announcer since 99'. Also I actually listened to that Bears/Browns game on the radio and I thought it was the same guy who does Bears games now but I have no clue on that one. Laravee has been with GB since 99. Man, time flies. Must have been Joniak on the Bears/Browns call.
  24. Is that for this week only, or is that for the whole season? I didn't think it was always like this.
