  1. I was wondering that too. I also found it interesting that they chose to use Joniak instead of Laravee. And they're playing it during the Packer games on the radio, too. I wonder how many Packer fans understand who that is :) I doubt many. I don't know of any of the visiting radio commentators except Laravee because he did the Bulls and Bears. I wonder if Joniak's call was just a made up one? I can't think of any games where the Bears won it by a tip at the end except Brown's two in 2001, and Laravee did that call for the Bears. This means nothing but Larivee has been the Packers announcer since 99'. Also I actually listened to that Bears/Browns game on the radio and I thought it was the same guy who does Bears games now but I have no clue on that one. Laravee has been with GB since 99. Man, time flies. Must have been Joniak on the Bears/Browns call.
  2. Is that for this week only, or is that for the whole season? I didn't think it was always like this.

  4. Joniak's call was just used in the Miller Lite commercial. Does anyone know what play it was? Some sort of tip and a TD. I thought it might have been one of Mike Brown interceptions in 2001.
  5. Their run D is pathetic. So is the Bears run O.
  6. Better than a torn ACL, but I sprained my ankle a while back really bad and I couldn't do any athletic activity for 6 weeks.
  7. ...so basically Hendry admits he made an emotional decision without thinking about how his action would affect the future. Who cares. This needed to be done. Right. Just because it was a rash decision doesn't mean it was a wrong one. I disagree. In that situation, Hendry should have done everything he could to minimize the significance of Bradley's comments. To the media, you have to assert that you 'understand Bradley's frustration with the season' even if you've decided that you are going to unload him in the offseason. You additionally decrease Bradley's value by suspending him and then publicly saying you don't think the relationship between Bradley and the Cubs is reparable. Executives shouldn't really make decisions based upon emotion. You have to put emotion aside and try to manage the situation whichever way is going to set you up best for the future. But you also have to figure in what Bradley's statements mean to the rest of the team. You can't get away with that stuff. You don't have to be a disciplinarian, but you have to do something.

  9. I hope that is a joke Jimmy Carter.

  11. I'd put the Colts win last year right up there. And the defeat of GB late in the year last year is up there too. But still, a huge win.
  12. The last thing I'd point to is the receivers after this game. I understand what you are talking about, but yea. The Davis catch wasn't half bad
  13. which "bounces and breaks" were those? The Forte fumble. The Pittsburgh kicker missing two makeable kicks.
  14. It doens't take took much moxie to suspend a guy who is an absolute tool when you are totally out of the playoff race
  15. Didn't the ref knock it off? Cutler had his helmet on the top of his head and the ref knocked it off. Time was called or the play was dead regardless.
  16. And some others. If they lost today they would have to face a good Seattle team. Only 2 out of 78 teams who have gone 0-3 have ever made the playoffs.
  17. He doesn't even try the long ones. Still, he is a very reliable kicker. And he had a touchback. What a day for him.
  18. Nice game Jay. No one picked the Bears. People were saying the season was over if the Bears lost. Now they are right back in the thick of things. The Baltimore game has 7:00 left. Wow.
  19. See what happens when you don't squib kick!
  20. Someone needs to give the Steelers' kicker a hug
  21. Then the Park District will remind them it is their field
  22. No, Bradley should be because he is the definition of a headcase
  23. There are 4 really good coaches available after the season, but I doubt we'll see any of them, as the Bears prolly persue on unknown assistant. I would rather have Rivera than Lovie as coach
