  1. That's exactly why you trade for Carmelo. You can always find a guy pretty similar to Noah. Rose is great, but he isn't the guy on a championship team. Huh? Name 5 players that are over 6'11'' can give you 10/12 consistently every night, have a relentless motor and bring it every single night. I would think there are many more players who can score and create a shot than there are players of Noah's style of play. I looked at the TV and found a guy in 2 seconds. Chris Kaman. And Dwight Howard, Brook Lopez... It is not just creating shots with Carmelo. He demands double teams and is a 1A guy. Rose is a 1B guy. You rarely win championships with the Detroit style team that won that doesn't have a 1A guy. Carmelo is a type 5 player in the league and you trade a guy who has never even made an All-Star team for him!
  2. I hate on him only because he obviously has tons of talent, but doesn't do the little things to take his game to the next level. I hate potential to get wasted.
  3. I would give Rose more than one game to prove that he has a three point shot. I only watched the end of the game, but I saw Korver get open and drain a bucket. He just has to do so much running around to get to that point. It takes forever. He reminded me of Hinrich in that regard.

  5. Yeah that was classic Luol. The momentum really turned on the plays where Korver passed up a corner 3 and let the shot clock expire and Deng couldn't finish on that break. Wasn't that after an in bounds play? How do you not know how much time is left on the clock?
  6. Wow Griffin can play. He's a pogo stick with power. Can he shoot?
  7. Deng has been soft and will always be soft. Why can't he even try to be physical? One of the nails in the Bulls' coffin was the breakaway he had and decided to try a layup instead of going strong and dunking. If you go for the dunk they almost have to foul you, but Dent went for the layup and got it blocked.
  8. I have never seen a commercial blitz like the one for Derek Rose's new shoe.
  9. They skipped right over one of the assistant coaches in LA. That was supposed to be his 5 seconds of fame. Poor guy. The massage therapist gets a ring. Ha!
  10. So there are about 5 or 6 guys trying to come to a consensus in the Bears booth who relay their decision to Lovie on whether or not to challenge a call. The offensive guys decide for offensive plays and defensive guys for defensive plays. But how do they come to a consensus and how long does that take when you need to make a pretty quick recommendation to Lovie? Just a terrible way to bring challenges down to Lovie.
  11. San Diego should never have fired Shottenheimer. I never have liked how team defense is statistically focused on yards and not points. In terms of points San Diego's offense is 7th, while their defense is 17th. They are not as good as their yards per game indicates.
  12. Pigs flew today. Lovie actually admitted that he made a mistake by not challenging the goal line Cutler fumble.
  13. I think about a week after the circus trip ends.
  14. I really have no confidence that Tice can turn the line around. Jerry or the new GM just has to get better talent. It wouldn't hurt to give Aromashadu some more playing time. When Cutler throws balls up, the Bears have no receivers with size to battle for the ball.
  15. Dungy is pointing out what we all know, but it still needs to be said. When Jay gets under pressure, he mechanics break down. He backpedals, throws off his back foot, and throws wounded ducks. On the Hall INT return for a TD, the Bears are in the red zone with 3 or 4 receivers. All the receivers are running into the endzone and no one runs a 5 yard out. None of the receivers picked up the hot read. And they all seemed to break to the sideline which made Jay have to put a lit more air under the ball. That is the problem with Martz. No audibles, everybody goes long, and no one is there to help Jay out. With that said, Jay has to improve his mechanics.
  16. I really can't thing of one single thing that Lovie Smith does well as a football coach
  17. That is not what he said ...by performing a double move. They obviously aren't smart enough to change their strategy. The Bears offense is the definition of a psychotic individual - they do the same thing every time and expect different results.
  18. Troy: Why don't the Bears pick on Hall? Next play, Hall's 4th INT
  19. This game should go down as a tie no matter who wins
  20. 3rd down conversion! Holy smokes.
  21. We were all clamoring for a QB sneak when the Bears are on the 1 and look what happened.
  22. Seriously find another team so the Bears can score here.
  23. Good challenge. The Bears have to be the worst team in the league if they are given first and goal from inside the one yard line.
  24. That's how you beat the blitz. Line picks up the minimum and a quick pass must come.
