  1. He tripped and fell (=drunk) at his house and broke his hand.
  2. 2 thoughts come to mind right here: one, continue picking against them two, why the hell did you pick detroit in week one? Because I wasn't expecting such a dumb rule to determine the outcome of the game.
  3. Great I thought the circus trip would be manageable this year.
  4. Ouch Oops! Bears 24, Giants 17.
  5. I have picked against the Bears the first three games. I'm going with them tonight. Bears 24, Giants 117.
  6. On the one hand I don't give up two number ones in addition to Deng and Noah. But if the Bulls get Melo (or even if they don't), those will be very late fist rounders that really never materialize. If Melo is holding his ground and won't resign with Denver, I would just wait until the trading deadline because Denver will want to get something for him.
  7. I don't think he said that in terms of he being benched was a mistake byt he coaches. I think he was saying that if he did make mistakes, that the coaching staff should be understanding as they are human too. The coaching staff should not be understanding for making a good decision in benching him. That's their job. It is not a player's responsibility to publicly declare that "coaches make mistakes too."
  8. Aromoshadu said that "coaches make mistakes too" today. That was probably the worst thing he could have said today to help his situation. The guy has some potential, is tall, and Jay likes to throw him, but he has to just shut up, learn what Martz wants him to learn, and shut up some more.
  9. This is exactly what I predicted as soon as Hester had the long return and the TD last week. This is really going to help the Bears' field position. Put him in on kickoffs now too. Zach Zaidman talked to Aromoshadu today. Devin said that he has no idea why he is not playing. I like the guy because Jay likes him and Jay could use a big receiver. But if Aromoshadu wants to be anything in the NFL, he has to go to Martz immediately to figure out what he needs to do to get playing time. It has been a week and a half and the guy is still waiting? This is in addition to the fact that Martz publicly said that Devin has to be able to learn the slot and wide out positions. How did this not get around to the guy?
  10. I didn't watch Omiyale much, but I didn't see him being beaten regularly which is a good thing. I can't believe the guy I wanted no part of three weeks ago could be the starting LT the rest of the season. Even when Williams comes back, is Omiyale the starting LT?
  11. Wait, what? I'm seeing 92.5...he had a pick to close the 1st half. I was about to say...
  12. Yes a few times. Most recently with Chad Pennington. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NFL_quarterbacks_who_have_posted_a_perfect_passer_rating
  13. So then if the Bears lose a game due primarily to yardage given up due to missed tackles, do Bears fans then forfeit the right to complain about it because "this is how your team has been losing for years?" (that isn't directed at you, Wilson, but I think it's a fair question.) lol you are so bad at logical arguments I would complain. But I would not say my team is better. Missing tackles is part of the game. Taking penalties is too. Better football teams take fewer penalties. Look at the penalties Peppers made the RT commit. That wasn't just being jumpy for jumpies sake, but it was directly due to a better player and wanting to get off the line quick. It wasn't totally self-inflicted. If you don't hold Peppers, Rodgers is sacked a few times. And if he did I think your outlook would be a little different.
  14. The Bears have to start tackling better. This has been a problem for a few years.
  15. What tools does Cutler have over Rodgers? They are very similar players as far as I can see.
  16. I guess every one of his 26 INT's last season was his receivers fault, right? No, but at least 1/3 were. Man I say Rodgers is better and I still get hammered. Still, what does that have to do with my point? I am talking about the Jay Cutler of this year, not last year.
  17. I'll admit Rodgers is a little better. As a Bear fan I'd take him over Cutler. Both have great arms and maneuverability. Rodgers seems to be a little bit better of a leader and makes safer decisions. But Cutler takes risks and will go after the big play. I think both guys have the ability to win the Super Bowl which is all that matter.
  18. Rodgers isn't twice the QB Cutler is. If Cutler had the line and the receivers Rodgers has, he would be about as good.
  19. Bears could very easily be 7-0 at the bye. That pretty much guarantees a playoff spot unless you are the Kyle Orton led Broncos.
  20. The Bears have given up TDs in the first quarter while they have mostly managed FGs. When you get down, you tend to throw more. But the NFL is a passing league and Martz is a passing OC. What can you really expect?
  21. Agreed. I completely forgot about Forte until he made that catch on the last drive. And that is completely different than the Forte we've seen in the first 2 weeks who was an essential part of the game plan. Yes but the Bears did have a good rushing average, although they had very few yards.
  22. Yes but considering how much pressure he was under all game, I really doubt he can do much better.
  23. Yep. But the rest of the dline has to step up. There was little to no pressure up the middle or from the other side.
  24. Everyone apologize to the cover-two. The Bears were bent, but didn't break.
  25. Keep thinking that. Both teams blew chances. The Bears missed a FG and dropped a sure TD. Game could have gone either way. DA BEARS!
