    Yes. He has to be better than all the third stringers. Give him a decent line and he will get you a 50 QB rating.

    It's not even that I hate Collins. With a bad line and not much experience with this team, I can't expect more from him. But Hanie would be better right now.

    Lovie has been benching guys like crazy this year, but for some reason he won't do it to Collins. He is just trying to justify the Collins pickup.

    If Cutler got a concussion last year, would they have gone with Hanie the week after or got a a vet like Collins? I just don't know what Hanie did to lose the second string position. If Jay gets another concussion (which is possible with this line), is he out for the season? You have to think about that possibility which could ruin the season.

    And that is why we really have no idea how good Collins is.

    Orton threw for 450 and put up...13 points. Who cares about yardage. Offensive ranking should be determined by points.

    If your aunt had a..... The Packers are a little overrated right now. They almost lost to Detroit. How many times does a team have to say "we are better than that" before everyone realizes that at the time they were not better than that?

The trade is better for Denver if Kyle Orton is a better QB with his surrounding parts on Denver than Jay would have been better with those parts. That is going to take some imagination and simply laying out the Cutler v. Orton stats doesn't do much for me.

    But even the commentators who don't like the Bears now still think they can go 7-1 at the half. I don't think anyone thought they would get 7 wins by the half. Maybe 7 by season's end. I still can't figure them out. I would not be surprised if the line plays much better and the Bears blow out Carolina. The defense has been pretty solid though. I am pretty confident that they will bend and not break all season. Sure, but you luck into three straight wins (sort of, in different ways) and your record at the half has to be screwy. I don't buy it that the Bears lucked into three straight wins. They outplayed Dallas and Green Bay.

    Yep. Cutler has more mobility and a better arm. I think Orton has better leadership abilities and might be a little bit better of a decision maker. Cutler is the better QB, but I don't know by how much. If Cutler had Denver's line, he would be lighting things up. The Bears aren't 3-1 with this team and Kyle Orton. I am pretty sure Orton will fizzle down the stretch, but he is still playing better than I thought.

    Peter King now thinks that the Broncos got the better of the Cutler/Orton trade. Denver was so confident in it that they used a first round draft pick on another QB the year after.

    Man, if only the professional athletes in Chicago were as tough as you. They would be unbeatable Where did I say I was tough?

    He really has to miss two months for a broken pinky? Can't he get a pinky cast and take some painkillers before the first game?
