  1. That's right take everything good that the Astros have left and bring it to Chicago
  2. Hoge says Jay got back faster than expected by getting a lot of soft tissue work from a chiropractor (massaging Jay's groin all day?), getting on ARP (a machine that breaks down scar tissue to allow increased blood flow to the injured area, thus accelerating healing time), and received platelet rich plasma injections. Jay also proclaimed himself 100% healthy. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2013/11/07/hoge-how-jay-cutler-got-back-so-quickly/
  3. I bet the Sox and the Score were all smiles when Hub thought it would be a great idea for 670 to land the Cubs. Might be hard to find open air time with 162 Sox games a year already.
  4. Wood gets it I still think
  5. How much does a radio color guy make? A few hundred thousand?
  6. Probably, but then why even say Jay wasn't ruled out for Monday's game? He was never really playing.
  7. If Jay has really limited mobility and can't make all the really important throws, sit him. Not a defense you get healthy against. McCown can at least keep you in the game. If this was last year, I'd say play Jay. But what if Jay reinjures himself by trying to play through this? Or tweaks his groin and he isn't close to full strength as a result for the remainder of the season. Will make it hard to properly evaluate Jay and I don't think Emery has his mind made up. Really affects the draft and what you do with Jay, Peanut, and Peppers. Or maybe Jay is out and this is a continuation of Trestman trying to fool the Lions into preparing for Cutler.
  8. They hate the callers but Matty looks for the meatballs and puts them on. Outside of Madduxboy, Quad cities Pat, Bob from Niles, and Mike from Milwaukee I'm fine with going callerless. Ditch WYC and most Friday Fung's too. A little info about me: Quad Cities Pat is my first cousin. Really? He's a good follow on Twitter.
  9. Yep first hour with no callers all you need
  10. Peanut gets what, 2 years $10 million?

  12. Boers and Bernstein sadly made a proactive announcement and wouldn't let Wilson nation call up and ask for McCown to get another start. They were too busy telling everyone how much the Bears still suck despite this game.
  13. Would you turn Peanut into a safety next year and move Frey to CB?
  14. Incognito the absolute worst guy to toughen someone up. I wonder if Philbin's job could be in jeopardy.
  15. Lions lose just one of those I bet
  16. Belichick against Manning only other time I can think of. Didn't work then.
  17. Yep and McCown has just enough escapability to bail them out when needed too
  18. I bet it's close, but not this bad. Incognito is just not an average jock. He is one of the worst guys in the league.
  19. The doctors say the timetable for return generally isn't much different between the sports from what I've seen
  20. Matt Flynn is available for the Packers. Obviously McCown can play. I'm inclined to think about starting him next week. The Lions dline isn't the best medicine for Jay's groin and QB's have a history of reinjuring their groins after trying to rush back.
  21. he doesn't play football You got something more similar to a person throwing an object for a living and had a broken collarbone on his non-throwing side? only if greike was planning on having people charge the mound on him in every single game Greinke was told 8 weeks. Football players told 9 weeks. Not a huge difference.
  22. Mike Wallace said what Incognito did was just part of hazing and this was not out of the ordinary. He should probably shut up.
  23. Average recovery time 9 weeks according to this link: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Romo-suffers-broken-collarbone-in-Monday-night-g?urn=nfl-279819
  24. I guess you don't want to say anything until you maybe get a second opinion. Doesn't injury news almost always get fully communicated the day after?
