    The TNT crew off to a great start. Shaq thought he was part of a championship one year on a kickout three year until Ernie corrected him. Kenny said if the Spurs had won last year the Heat wouldn't be favorites this year. Also said Rose is as good as he is due to effort, not due to skill level. And Charles said that Oden is the most important player on the Heat roster.

    Are we assuming that the Pacers are healthy? Because that's kind of a big assumption. Granger is already hurt. It's also a big assumption that Noah, Deng, and Hinrich stay healthy. But healthy team against team, Bulls third best in East to me. Indiana can play some defense too.

    If healthy this is the best Heat team yet. If there are no major trades or injuries, I have the Bulls losing to the Pacers in the second round of the playoffs. The Pacers have two legit scorers who can create and the Bulls don't.

    Cutler has all the leverage even if he is out for the season. Great QB rating and weapons under Trestman. He's going to get franchised or $17 million a year for 5 years. Now would Cutler force the Bears into a long-term deal by saying he wouldn't play if franchised? If the Bears go to a 3-4, dump Peppers. No reason to pay him if he is old, bad, and out of position.

    Boers and Bernstein said that Scott Skiles has 6 and maybe 8 illegitimate children. Never thought he was in Shawn Kemp territory.

    I think on the first one the receiver didn't cut off his route and Jennings undercut him. Maybe a little miscommunication. On the last one, it skipped off the top of the fingers of the outstretched TE on the Bear 12 yard line. If the Giant TE makes that catch, the Giants most likely win. They weren't horrible throws if I remember correctly.

    Marshall asked on the NFL Network how Trestman has helped Jay mature. Marshall said Trestman hasn't really done anything, this is all Jay just playing better. He said Cutler is the smartest guy in any room he enters.

    Can that team beat the Heat, Thunder, Spurs, or Rockets? If so, then don't trade for Aldridge. I just don't think they can be that good, but I'm willing to wait 5 months to find out. In playoff crunch time, Deng and Noah can't be relied upon to score regularly. Jimmy maybe, but I want to see his development. The Bulls are 64-18 the last 82 games Derrick Rose has played in, IIRC. That's basically the epitome of a team that has a core that should be going for it. Of course things can change and they could be proactive about making changes on the margins. This team will be really, really good if Rose is Rose. 60+ wins, top 3 defense, and top 8ish (potentially better) offense. No doubt, but they really aren't close to winning a championship. They aren't better than the other teams I mentioned because they can't score with other top 5 teams in the playoffs in half court offenses.

    If Jimmy isn't the number two guy the Bulls need by the trading deadline, I'd trade him and Noah for Aldridge. But I doubt Jimmy makes that kind of jump by that time.

    The Bulls aren't going to win squat without another guy that can create besides Rose. Jimmy might be that guy, but there comes a time when you have gone as far as you can with this group and you need to make a trade to see if you can get to the next level. Can Aldridge play center?

    This team has made a ton of dumb penalties this year. Wasted timeout are really hurting too. A - They have? B - What the [expletive] does that have to do with his post? Yes they have had some dumb penalties. From today's game Weems' personal foul is one and Briggs' play on 4th and a yard was another. The Bears were forced to take a timeout late in the game because they didn't have the right personnel in if I remember correctly (right before the Earl Bennett drop). That timeout could have resulted in a hail Mary at the end of the game.
