    Of course not, but look at this season. Both have played a similar number of games and thrown a similar number of throws. And while Jay is better, he turns the ball over far more. As lopofan said, this is reverse meatballism. You are a worse poster than me and that is really hard to do.

How about we just look at career INT rates and fumbles and show that 'not turning the ball over as much' doesn't describe McCown? Uh it describes him this year which is what matters. Let me ask you this - do you think McCown is more likely to play like his old days or this year with Trestman as OC, this line, these weapons? We have to compare QBs in the same system with the same players, not McCown's old teams. It just isn't controversial to say that Jay turns the ball more than McCown. It also isn't controversial to say Jay is better long term.

    They are clearly better, but either way that was a terrible throw on the INT bad defense or not McCown makes the same throw. Nobody was open underneath. Nice try. Is your only response not that it was a bad throw/decision, but McCown makes the same one? Maybe McCown throws the ball away or something else. But you can't say McCown makes the same throw when his INT % is 6 times less. Maybe McCown doesn't march them down like Cutler did, but seeing what we saw of McCown that throw doesn't happen with him as much as it does with Cutler. McCown made the same throw last week and a Marshall tip saved it from being a pick. Nice try. Coulda, should, woulda is now way to live life. Jay's weaknesses are Jay's weaknesses and they haven't improved that much this year. He is what he is. There is nothing wrong with admitting that McCown doesn't turn the ball over as much.

    Flacco was a stud in the 2012 playoffs. 117 QB rating with 11 TDs and no INTs. Roethlisberger had a playoff rating of 91.6 with 3 TDs and 1 INT in 2008. I think Jay could be Ben, but I don't think he is going to be able to touch Flacco's numbers. Jay needs a really good defense behind him to win in the playoffs and that isn't happening any time soon. So you're saying that Cutler is incapable of having a run like Flacco? The nonsense about the defense means nothing. Not incapable, but highly improbable of having a Flacco like run in the playoffs. Ben had top 10 defenses when he won his Super Bowls. I don't think Jay can win without a top 10 defense.

    Probably for the same reason you poke your head in here and contribute nothing to the conversation. I'm sure Packers fans want Jay to start Sunday and the rest of the year if healthy, prefer to sign him to a long-term extension, and repeatedly point out that Jay has far more talent that McCown. There is very little to what I'm saying that goes against the grain. There is nothing revolutionary to interpreting Jay as being fed up with the McCown love when he was quick to point out that his fellow teammate, the NFC player of the week who just played one of the best QB'd games in Bears history made some bad throws. Jay went out of his way to say it.

    I want Cutler at $15-16 million or a franchise tag. Over $16 million let him walk. Just not worth it unless Jay leads the team to the NFC Champ game this year. Keep McCown as a backup since Jay is always hurt. Saying Jay has been outplayed this year doesn't mean I don't want him next year. But he has to put up better numbers these last three games. Having two QBs is a good problem to have. Both QBs can win Sunday. Even though I would play Jay Sunday if he can make all the throws, I'm just a little more confident with McCown. Jay isn't 100% and with this horrible Bears defense you can't turn the ball over. That has always been Jay's biggest weakness. And yet with Cutler and his weakness the Bears were still doing very well this year despite the defense. I just don't get why people talk like the team suddenly upgraded when McCown took over. Uh because they did in every offensive category for the time being? Well, except for scoring (except for that last game against the worst defense in the NFL). Now who's the meatball? You have to allow the Dallas game's stats.

I still read Jay as being jealous of all the attention Josh is getting and trying to point out that he is not as good as his stats suggest. How do we help you not make up "hidden meaning"? Give me what your interpretation is, just not what mine isn't. My interpretation is that Jay thinks that McCown had a really good last game, and that Josh made some mistakes and had some throws he'd like to have back. "Good" is not a strong enough word (Jay didn't say really good). It was unbelievable, one of the best quarterbacked games in Bears history. When you win offensive player of the week and one of your teammates says it was just good and you made bad throws, I sense some jealousy there. From the clip I heard on M&H, those were the only things Jay said. I don't expect Jay to laud tons of praise on Josh, but I expected more than a blah and pointing out two bad plays on a day where McCown played better than Jay ever has here. You didn't really give an interpretation, just a restatement.

    He had two bad passes. You can't hold Marshall and get in a position to make an interception and then say that was a bad throw. But yeah he had two bad passes. And his idiot play against Minnesota that cost us the game. Lets not forget that. Because that was as dumb a decision as you'll ever see. Was that not a "mistake", but a clever ploy to get Kyle Long a reception? Nor his inability to throw a TD in the red zone unless his receiver has nobody within 5 yards of him. And yet, when Cutler has good passes bobbled by Earl Bennett or deflected on a fluke and picked off, it's his fault. Not saying McCown hasn't made bad throws. He has. But overall outplayed Jay. Trestman's FG decision, Robbie's missed FG, defense not stopping the Vikings on 4th and long, and missed throws by McCown were all factors. Robbie's missed FG to me most important play that game. Actually, the offense's inability to convert 3rd downs was the thing that lost them that game. McCown's yardage in that game was mostly due to Alshon going cheat code. But whatever fits your warped narrative where Jay Cutler is somehow some bumbling hack and Josh McCown is going to lead the team to all the glories A missed FG to win in overtime was the biggest play. Almost always is.
