    next week's unemployment data will reflect one former female NFL employee Unless she passed the video up the chain and Goodell won't admit he saw it or knew about it still. But who is going to stick their neck out for that between the woman and Goodell?

    Goodell going to lose his job over Ray Rice. Why is he doing this? "To my knowledge, we never received the video." All he has left. Time to fire the NFL mail room person he'll say.

    Weird cause now the NFL does think it is their place to rank a hierarchy of offenses. That's what league admins do. The coverup is worse than the crime.

    The state of NJ said that the video was part of an ongoing grand jury investigation and was not made available. The casino said the NFL did not ask for it.

    i had never heard this all i remember was him very publicly reluctantly taking on the role as the lead guy once urlacher was gone. Bernstein or someone on the Score has been saying this since last year Wrong. The story was told that last year's LB coach was some bum (name escapes me) I believe from the CFL with Trestman that was never a NFL LB coach and he basically had no idea how to run Lovie's system of defense. So Lance had to command the LB room and run many of the meetings. That coach was fired, taking the hit for Mel Tucker along with Mike Phair, last year's Dline coach. That's what I meant. Briggs knew the defense better than the coach.

    The NFL is trying to get moms to like football (breast cancer month) because I'd imagine moms might be more willing to pull their kids out of football once they hear about how dangerous head trauma is. Wouldn't be surprised if the NFL didn't really want to see the video. The outcry for what Rice did will be the strongest by women. Having the video get out is the NFL's worst nightmare.

    I thought Briggs basically told the LB coach to let him run the meetings cause he knows the defense and other offenses so well

    Not sure I follow. When he first became commissioner, it seemed like he was tougher with discipline. No?
