Even if this is the plan, why not trade him now and then sign him again in the offseason? Can't trade a "core" member of the team according to Garpax. Standing pat at the trading deadline was all about saving face for the organization. If Garpax traded Gasol, they'd miss the playoffs and look pretty dumb after firing Thibs.

I'm not a doomsdayer. This team is just not good enough from GM to coach to players to win multiple playoff series. All of the sudden against good teams in the playoffs they'd get consistent?

The 30 for 30 on the '85 Bears was pretty good. A lot of love for Buddy Ryan, not so much for Ditka, at least from the players' perspective.

i havent watched a ton either but it seems to me like he doesn't have the pieces needed to run "Hoiball". I think assuming GarPax survives this season they will start building the team to fit his style. I wonder what the real chances are that they'd move on from GarPax? They seem pretty damn bulletproof. But I do think it's time to make a change there. My guess is that when Rose enters FA, a new GM will be with the Bulls

I really hope the Chargers stay in San Diego but I hope the city doesn't have to pick up the tab on the stadium. That crap is such a scam. Not sure why more teams haven't followed 49ers model. What is their model?

If they can beat one of them they can beat two of them. They could very easily not make it out of the first round, but you're just saying things. Since Rose has been on the Bulls, they have won multiple playoff series once. I see no reason to think this year's team will do what they have done only one other time with less talent this year.

I think the Bulls could beat one of those teams in the playoffs, but not two of them to get to Miami if the Bulls get a high enough seed.

Atlanta, Washington, Miami, Toronto could all beat the Bulls. I just don't think this team can win two playoff series.

The Bulls played Miami well during the regular season when LeBron was there and they have played Cleveland well the last two years too. The playoffs are a whole different game and I would be a little surprised to see them even in the ECF.

Reports are that GarPax know that the Bulls aren't winning this year. Even with Jo going down, they better still make some trades.

It obviously won't happen this way, but I wouldn't be upset if I never saw Derrick Rose suit up for the Bulls again Same here. I'm really looking forward to when he's no longer on the roster. I hope they trade him and at least get something for him. I can't see him with the Bulls when his current contract is up. Why in God's name would anyone give up anything of value for Rose? Because some GMs take risks to get (former)stars with the hope they return to form
