  1. Rondon hasn’t given up a earned run or a walk in like 10 appearances. Even L/R splits while Wilson has a 9+ ERA with the Cubs against lefties. Wilson has some good numbers against Murphy, but that’s when Wilson was good. Joe isn’t going to put Wilson in a situation that’s critical against the Murphy or Harper anyway.
  2. Bulls trying to put a wet blanket on Wade's threat of moving on next year
  3. Offseason target #1: Chris Bosh https://www.facebook.com/670TheScore/posts/10154277887918543
  4. I think it was Cowley who said that the Bulls weren't even thinking of signing Rondo, but the corporate sponsors were starting to complain that this team sucked and had little appeal. Bulls brass clearly fixed that problem with Rondo.
  5. 56* and a steady rain on Monday. Perfect hockey weather for the Winter Classic.
  6. I don't see how a very aged Wade with one year left on his contract could recruit a player to a long-term deal in Chicago. Come play with me for a year?
  7. Hoiberg is reportedly on the hot seat. But how hot can it be with $15 million remaining on his contract? If Hoiberg goes, so should GarPax. Rebuild starting at the trading deadline.
  8. First homer off of Mark Grace. Last over Andrew Miller. Great bookends.
  9. Brett and Sahadev Sharma wondering if Schwarber can play in the WS because he's playing in the AFL. They don't know roster rules? Or does he qualify for B? (1) Major League Roster Players. To be eligible to play for a Major League Club in a Wild Card Game, Division Series, League Championship Series, or the World Series, a player must (A) have been on a Major League Active, Disabled, Bereavement / Family Medical Emergency, Paternity, Suspended or Military List of such Major League Club as of Midnight Eastern Time on August 31, or on such date be under control, but on optional assignment, or on assignment from another Major League organization and not yet reported; and (B) have remained reserved to such Major League Club (at the Major or Minor League levels) through the beginning of the applicable post-season series, unless the player is replacing an injured player pursuant to Rule 40(a)(3).
  10. Tell me a few reasons why I shouldn't be very scared as a Cubs fan right now?
  11. Schwarber isn't on the 40-man roster. Couldn't play even if healthy.
  12. Assuming not serious but that happens all the time and no, it's not a safety I've never seen a kick returner run the ball out of the back of the end zone
  13. Didn't the Cowboys' kick returner just run it out of the back of the end zone? Safety?
  14. Just heard the news from Len during the game. My condolences to his family and friends.
  15. Year one of Tresty, with the shortened Martz year being number 2, at least on a per game basis. Yeah the 2 years with Martz were pretty good considering his receivers during those years were Johnny Knox, Devin Hester, Earl Bennett, Rashied Davis, Devin Aromashodu, Roy Williams and Dane Sanzenbacher (he did have Greg Olsen in 2010) In fact I never would have believed that Jay's career arc went the way it did if you told me during the 4th quarter of that chargers game in 2011. That was his career peak, one year removed from a 11-5 division title and NFC title game appearance, bounced back from a 2-3 start to win 5 in a row and considered one of the legit contenders in the NFC. Then he broke his damn thumb chasing down a DB who intercepted a pass that shouldn't have been intercepted (I believe it bounced off his [expletive] WR target and held up in the air long enough for someone to grab it) and it all went downhill from there. If I remember correctly, the crappy Soldier Field sod made Knox lose his balance which allowed for the tipped ball and subsequently Cutler's injury. The Chicago Park district took away a great year from Jay.
  16. Everyone has pitching worries beyond 2016, such is the nature of pitching. The Mets are currently living through the pain of that reality right now. The Cubs will definitely have to focus improvements in that area, but they've done pretty well in building staffs so I have a lot of optimism. Next year's pitching FA class is really weak though if I remember correctly
  17. Rehab games still 1-2 weeks away I think. Offense is not the problem and Jorge isn't pitching when he comes back.
  18. Thank God Maddon skipped the best pitcher the Cubs have as of late. Who needs quality starts.
  19. I've been the biggest optimist of them all. This team is a dumpster fire. The Bucs will catch us by August 1st. lol @ all three parts of that post. About as bad as saying there isn't the slightest bit of concern with this team
  20. Send email front page notifications?
  21. He's had this injury for a while, but just now told the Cubs. Was icing it himself, but the training staff has already improved his wrist? Sheesh don't try to be a doc Jason.
  22. Are the Cubs just scaling back guest conductors or are they using a video of Harry all the time?
  23. I see a lot of wins in that schedule. 10-6.
