    I think the coaches know Bagent gives them a better chance of winning. There’s at least a chance Bagent is good after seeing what he did in the preseason. There’s no chance Peterman is good.

    With another year under his belt and better players around him, Fields has regressed. He’s afraid to run bc the coaches probably told him not to so he stays healthy. But that’s his only strength. There is no hope without new ownership.

    Guess the team told Claypool he better start trying according to Jay Glazer or he’d be deactivated or traded. Claypool supposedly apologized. Why would you not try week 1 of the season?

    I agree, just surprised that they are showing it this early. Poles and the coaching staff have to be incredibly nervous for their jobs.

    You can always overturn the call later, but they have to see how the play develops and then take a look at it. I don’t like those early whistles on judgment turnovers that are developing.

    Bears had other needs last draft and maybe they didn’t like Bryce Young. This year’s draft is very QB heavy and if they want to move on from Fields there will be plenty of opportunities.

    Poles and Eberflus have the same agent, right? This is the same organization who didn’t want Arians after he was coach of the year.

    Would Daboll have picked the Bears over the Giants if the Bears had offered him the job?

    I don’t think the roster is this bad. Most people think the Bears are a 6 or 7 win team. But you can’t win without much better QB play and constant pressure from the front four on the opposing QB. I think most of the issue is coaching, but I also don’t think Fields has any hope of being coached up because he just doesn’t have it. But if you aren’t going to let Fields throw medium to deep, at least give him more roll outs and designed runs.

    Fields was asked about the offensive struggles. He blamed it on penalties and false starts and too many 3rd and longs. Does he not realize he played terrible too?

    Someone asked Eberflus at his presser what’s one thing that the team would like to improve on. He said the basics of football. That’s a huge indictment on him.
