    Dave Wannstedt told Parkins and Spiegel today that two years ago Harbaugh was interested in the Bears job, but the Bears weren't interested in him. I just don't understand this organization. Harbaugh has won everywhere he went and develops QBs, but you had to hire the DC with the Colts?

    If they hire Frank Reich as OC you could do a lot worse. Poles said he wouldn’t rule out keeping Justin and drafting a QB with the #1 pick which is interesting. I just don’t see Poles having two #1 picks in a row, having a QB on your roster that after three years is far below league average, and not using that #1 pick on a QB in a QB starved franchise.

    I agree that he got Getsy fired and Getsy will also probably get Fields fired, but Nagy only had 12 games with Fields.

    It was reported last week that McCaskey and Phillips made Poles hire Eberflus, so it would make sense that if they still like him they won’t let Poles fire him if he wanted to

    I’m with Bernstein. The bar for this team is too low if Eberflus is indeed kept. Poles talked about owning the North, and the Bears are 2-10 in Division play. I wonder how much influence Warren and McCaskey had in this if they ultimately hired Eberflus in the first place? After week 3 or 4, some people expected Eberflus to be fired that week. Not only wasn’t he fired, but he was kept even after the Bears lost three double-digit 4th quarter leads and missed the playoffs and finished last in the Division again. I don’t want to hear that Eberflus kept the team together after the dumpster fire that it was early on of his own making.

    I don’t think Fields is the guy and I want Caleb Williams, but what’s the down side to keeping Fields for now and trading him and some point in the future if Williams looks the part?
