I don’t know if I believe that, but Poles had had plenty of time to figure out what to do with Fields. The determination had to be made before free agency.

PFF had Byard as the 11th best safety last year. I’ll take that.

For all the Fields defenders, what the Bears will end up getting for him will show just how below average he is. At this point, any draft pick will do. He can't stay on as a backup with the Bears even if the return is incredibly weak because that's going to put unnecessary pressure on Williams if he starts out the season struggling.

Bulls with a nice lead on the Clippers at halftime. Could get back to .500 and go 4-0 on a tough west coast road trip. -
If the Bears didn’t get a good WR in free agency and you’re at 9 and the top three WRs are gone, I still want the next best receiver. Bowers or the 4th best WR.

High ticket prices and concessions and the hotel and the sports book and everything else the Ricketts own near Wrigley. I’ve seen differing numbers, but the Cubs are usually right near the top of those lists.

I find it frustrating that the Cubs spending doesn’t correspond to revenues. If you are a top-5 revenue team most every year, why can’t you be top-5 spending team most every year?

The Bulls definitely gave effort last night, but Vooch has to stop shooting threes. He’s just terrible at them and killing the offense with these 1-7 efforts. He says, “But I’m open,” problem is the defense is letting you shoot them because you stink at them. He’s a solid player in the post but continually strays from that. Donovan can’t let that keep happening. With 14 seconds left and a tie game, you have to get a better shot up than a last second desperate contested three from Demar. -
He’s been right on a few QBs, but said that Fields has had too much change around him to know how good he is. Well, we’ve seen all of Fields’ games and as Urlacher said, “if you’re through year three and you don’t know if he’s the guy, he’s not the guy.”

Hoge also didn’t like Manziel and said that last year’s best QB was Stroud. Only saw three games last year and the year before, but said “one thing that’s clear, Caleb Williams is not special.”
