  1. I said it earlier, but I don't know why when the spurs were up 2 with the ball and the inbounds went to leonard that they weren't trying everything to get Parker the ball. He was on the far side of the court not really involved. I know they aren't that different in percentage during the regular season and that he missed a free throw in OT, but I absolutely want parker there to seal it.
  2. You could see the seats empty in that last minute. It was pathetic.
  3. I don't know if it has been said, but it can't be said enough. Manu has done his absolute best to lose this game tonight.
  4. Bingo... it gave Pops time to draw up a play. I don't think he wanted it. I think he was mad that it gave miami time to set up on defense.
  5. There looked like empty seats behind the heat bench in the crowd. Miami fans are so terrible.
  6. Why wasn't the play before to absolutely get parker the ball on the inbounds? He was on the other side of the court.
  7. In the first two games I was on the edge of my seat for every shot. This game felt like I was watching on tape delay and already knew the outcome was a shutout.
  8. holy [expletive] that was terrifying.
  9. As if that Miami assistant coach (with the glasses and goatee) wasn't annoying enough whining all of the time. Now he is leaning in and yelling while players shoot 3's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ANwYARer8Nc
  10. Yeah. I can't remember if Crawford had a great save in the sequence, but late in the third when Datsuk had sort of a mini-breakaway and then there was a great chance at a rebound it sort of made up for it.
  11. no [expletive], could have cost us the game 2 goal lead on the PP, the puck wasn't important at that point. Yeah both of the last two penalties I was perfectly happy just to waste two minutes. But Hossa and Sharp had other ideas.
  12. Jesus. Can't they just accept being on the powerplay and run the time out.
  13. For people with Directv who don't normally get NBCsports network and can't watch the game another way, there will be a free preview of their Xtra package from today until June 2.

  15. i bet youll get behind it Oh Yahh... he'll get behind it alright. http://abporter.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/gay-couple-from-maine.png http://www.hulu.com/watch/423751
  16. Yeah. Or it also sort of reminds me of the 2009 British Open when people were openly rooting against Tom Watson because it would have been "embarrassing" to the sport if a 60 year old could win a major. Maybe someone doesn't want a 14 year old doing too well.
  17. Took me entirely WAY too long to figure out why you posted that. At first, i thought the girl's shirt said "Torunto", but that wasn't a big enough issue to warrant a gif. Then it hit me right in the eyes. I've heard that stings. haha
  18. And to be fair, Illinois was about the 7th best team in the Big Ten. Marquette tied for first (probably 2nd or 3rd best team) in the Big East. There is a difference. And again, it is wrong to judge everything on the tournament or one game samples. I mean, Marquette needed Davidson to give the game away just to escape the first round. They also very narrowly escaped butler, a team Illinois blew out this year.
  19. Looks like Shaw and Langford are transferring from Illinois as well.
  20. ibby was a scholarship filler, wouldn't have been part of the rotation in a million years. Right, so now that he's transferring, maybe they can go more than 7 deep next year, unlike this year. Abrams, Nunn, Bertrand, Hill, Henry, Egwu, Colbert, Morgan, Lyle, and whatever 5th year guy takes Ibbys ride. Groce is going to have to play his freshman. I assume you mean Rice instead of Lyle. Also, do you think Tate plays much?
  21. I only saw the replay once but his feet weren't quite set were they? If Hinrich didn't put his arms around him right away I think it is absolutely a charge. I would have been fine with it being a charge even though he put his arms around him. That to me, is the epitome of what a charge should be--going straight into the body of the defender full blast and lowering his shoulder like that. I hate the college charges where someone runs up and gets in the way of someone. Anyway, it is ridiculous that last nights game is something Lebron needs to complain about when the only two fouls they keep replaying as the hard/dirty plays were the hinrich "tackle" (they were going down because of the charge, hinrich didn't tackle him to the ground) and then one semi-hard foul from Gibson.
  22. Man as much as I was happy with DJ last game, he was frustrating tonight. Missed everything and then didn't foul the fat guy when only down two at the end. The entire stadium was yelling to foul him. No one could believe he was the one that got the ball.
  23. In real time, I thought it was a terrible call. When they showed the 3rd replay (sort of from the top and zoomed in), I could see how you might think paul's fingertips grazed the ball as it was going out--but it was really inconclusive on the replay. However, I just went back and re-watched it on the DVR, and I think the 2nd replay (from behind on the baseline) is conclusive that Paul didn't touch it. His hand was already past the ball when the miami guy was still pushing it forward. Either way it shouldn't matter. There was no way that ref was calling it out on Illinois because he thought paul might have grazed it (and I think that was the point of IMB's post where he still said he got it wrong).
  24. An Illinois fan on a KSU board wrote this when KSU was down big: "i have seen this many times Kansas St will come back, take the lead, go to the stall offense and end up losing by 4"
