    I'd have to see it again, but with a good secondary lead, I think Soler would've been toast even had he been going back to the base when the ball was hit. And maaaannnn, if Rizzo would've been looking changeup on that 2-0 pitch, hooooo boy that would've gone a long ways.

    holy [expletive], i was like "man they're really on top of this post season coverage" to have it happen to the same dude twice is too much. Yeah that was really messing with my mind for a little bit. I was especially confused why the Mets reporter would call up RA Dicky for his take on the matter.

    I'd love to hear the rationale for Utley being safe. My best guess is that the assumption is that if the ump would've made no call originally because neither touched the base, Utley would've gotten back to the base? That seems pretty shitty though. And the lack of reaction by all three announcers to that slide was really weird.

    I have a whole new appreciation for Russell's arm strength after watching Carpenter throw the ball across the diamond.

    I'm still not really sure what to make of Strop's struggles vs the Cardinals, but I do know that you absolutely cannot use him in the 8th with Grimm, Cahill, and Rodney all available.

    I don't think so. I think we'd see Cahill, Grimm, and/or Rodney before 9th instead of Strop.
