    Did that fangraphs guy seriously say Schwarber was a 20 runner pre injury? C'mon man.

    We're clearly the better team, so I'd like to think we'll win. However, I'm going to be very annoyed at how much of an impact one single reliever can have in a format like this. Andrew Miller is a very big deal.

    Plus, Maddon would try really hard to avoid having La Stella play defense anyway.

    I'm pretty much over being so concerned about corner outfield defense if it leads to punting spots in the batting order. Almora, while better than Heyward, is still basically punting vs RHP. Zobrist really isn't a bad RFer, either. Personally, I'd go with Contreras in LF and Schwarber at DH the first two games. Schwarber's hella rusty, but Soler and Coghlan have to be fairly rusty themselves. Or if Joe wants to put Coghlan or Soler in LF or DH with Contreras playing the other spot, I don't mind that either. I'd just like to be done with the punting.

    I mean Smoltz was probably right when he said before the game that Hendricks would be on a short leash, assuming Kershaw would also be great. But for some reason, he can't quite see that the situation has changed.

    I know a lot of people don't want Chapman on the mound for the final outs of the biggest moments in franchise history. Not sure we have to worry about that. Our nerdy soft-tossing righty will just go all 9.

    The thing I remember most about Schwarber's first homerun was the dude in the A's shirt who caught it. He was really handsy with his young girlfriend when the camera panned to them afterward, then JD went into full on dad mode which was really funny.

    As Brett pointed out, they would've waited a few weeks in order to let him (potentially) celebrate with the team if there was a 0% chance of him returning for the WS.
