  1. I can envision being an 88 win underdog that takes a giant horsefeathers on this bullpen in the NLDS after all of the SPs are tired from getting Dusty'd in the regular season. I'd take pleasure in that.
  2. Davis would've had to hit, or TLS would've had to come in to play defense. Maddon really should've left Zagunis in.
  3. I'm pretty sure our two centerfielders are the two slowest guys on the team.
  4. The strike zone for the Bour and Rizzo ABs has me irritated
  5. Hot dang, that was some peak Wade Davis right there
  6. There is a 100% chance Gordon would've stolen 3rd successfully anyway.
  7. What a horsefeathering terrible AB by Russell, not being able to adjust to a breaking ball that hung THAT much with 2 strikes. Bad.
  8. I've got my eye on Verlander now. The numbers aren't very good this season, but his velo is up from his great 2016 (or are those readings still screwy?), so you'd hope maybe a trip to the NL and back to a contender would help him return to form. The money and prospects involved could vary a lot, but I seriously doubt Eloy would need to be involved. Seems like they'd be more likely to sell now that their ownership situation has changed, no?
  9. lol, did Willson point to the dugout as if to tell Maddon to challenge?
  10. Why is Szczur in the position to be catching shallow line drives against someone with elite power? And when did he learn how to throw?
  11. The threat of a DP was too much; I think having Lester attempt to bunt was the correct call. Of course that didn't work and the DP happened anyway.
  12. Went to the Iowa game today. There were a lot of good AB's including a Candelario dong. My biggest takeaway though is Soler is still very handsome and still very bad. He had 3 pretty terrible strikeouts on sliders way out of the zone.
  13. Forfeit, save the bullpen, and let everyone have a nice father's day.
  14. Maybe don't send Arrieta out there in 5 days like nothing is ailing him.
  15. Speaking of dimensions that don't make sense - Gregory Polanco's body. Those legs belong on a 7'7'' person.
  16. Maaaan, I know baserunning outs look bad a lot of the time but that one was especially egregious considering a dong there was about as likely as any other type of hit.
  17. I'm pleased. But their offense is dangerous as hell. And their rotation is better than ours. The Milwaukee rotation is Jimmy Nelson, a broom, the guy inside Bernie Brewer, the ghost of Bob Uecker, and Matt Garza's goatee. Even if that were true, he'd still be correct.
  18. No kidding. I thought Len went into a depressed, snarky mode when he said "If it's fair, it's gone" as it looked like it was going to fly over the right-center field fence.
  19. So Bryant is basically going to be the best third baseman of all time if he stays healthy, we're thinking?
