  1. Russell batting v anyone is unbelievably dangerous for fans everywhere.
  2. Lester batting v Cole is unbelievably dangerous for the fans behind the Cubs' dugout.
  3. Lester made contact with a 99 mph fastball, wow.
  4. Lester might give up a dong or two today. Nice double play.
  5. I really don't mind Ross. HOWEVER, if Montero hasn't started the two games before a Lester start, Ross really shouldn't be catching. And I'm not even sure Ross is completely healthy right now. Also, lol, three bench players for today's game.
  6. Move him to LF. I definitely think Schwarber will get MLB AB's this season.
  7. Considering they'll need bullpen help tomorrow, I think Jaxon sucking in another high leverage spot would earn him the DFA.
  8. Keep making contact/mashing, Javy. We're gonna need Papelbon to come along with Hamels.
  9. Yeah screw Motte for challenging Harrison up by five runs and for giving up a blooper.
  10. I know someone said it before, but Rizzo and Bryant are seriously going to be the clean version of Ortiz & Manny.
  11. A walk and a line drive from Starlin so far. Good to see.
  12. That was the softest [expletive] swing. How does that ball get out?
  13. It bothers me when Castillo just gives up trying to frame a pitch if it's not right where he wants it. He could've made a few of those pitches to McCutchen look a lot better.
  14. Tim Lincecum's average fastball velocity this season is 87.5 mph, down from 89.6 mph last season. In his first two seasons, his average fastball velocity was over 94 mph.

    Baez

If Baez would come up with Castro, Russell, and Bryant on the 25 man roster, I bet Javy would be the one to move to LF for 2015. Then you maneuver in 2016 if Javy proves he can hit major league pitching.

    Baez

Bryant can't move to LF; that spot is reserved for Schwarber now since Montero is awesome again and Bryant appears to be adequate at 3B. I think Hoyer's surprisingly candid comments about how we match up with the Mets signals they're going to move one of the shortstops - likely Castro or Baez.
  17. Anthony Rizzo has an 11.6% K rate to go along with that .452 wOBA of his.
