    I'm listening to the recent podcast by Brett and Sahadev Sharma and neither seem to think service time will affect Baez's call up. I couldn't disagree more, especially with how close that deadline is. No way we see him before June 11.

    I thought human umpires were all about rewarding veteran pitchers for hitting spots.

    Um, why was that 3-1 pitch to Starlin called a strike?

    I tend to not get too worked up, but there are two games this season that still really bother me when I think about them. The Goldschmidt homerun game is one, and Bryant's debut when Schlitter gave up the homerun to Myers after striking him out is the other. With the way Strop and Rondon were pitching at the time, that was a win if the ump calls that pitch to Myers a strike.

    Yeah just saw the replay of that. Classic example of why this replay system is terrible. If you are that afraid of hurting Bob Davidson's feelings, let's not even waste everyone's time and have replay. That was probably 70/30 that he was out, but nope, he wasn't out by a full two steps, so we can't be 100% sure the ball was fully in the first baseman's glove (it was) by the time the runner's foot came down.

    Hey, Szczur hits for power now. Though I can't picture him hitting the ball over the fence at this place.

    Oh my. Just watched the video of his "single" in his first AB. That's an interesting scoring decision.

    He, like, just did a few innings ago and the pitcher threw him 2 strikes after going 3-0 this last AB.

    Now I kind of do want Starlin to be traded, just for his own sake. The media has reached a new low with their coverage of him. This has been dissected way too much. Although, David Ross just said something really awesome and funny (from Gonzales' twitter): "He’s probably got more home runs than I do. I can’t tell him to run the bases." Ross

    It's kind of funny how much more confidence Maddon apparently has in Wood as opposed to Jaxon.

    This has been quite the roller coaster game for Starlin. Unfortunately, that hanging breaking ball will make him want to continue to pull everything.
