  1. Bryant isn't having trouble making contact lately against some really nasty pitching - Syndergaard, Harvey, Cole, etc.
  2. We can't keep him in the minors for a couple years, or however long he needs to be a catcher. Now that he's proving he's essentially left-handed Bryant, move him to Iowa and to left field and let's see him in a couple months.
  3. Hannemann seems to be getting CF priority over Almora lately. He's in CF again with Almora in RF in the first game.
  4. So Wada and La Stella up, Schlitter down, and one of Coke/Jaxon DFA'd. Bryant is basically the backup outfielder now, so I'm guessing we'll see Lake up and Herrera or Castillo sent out as well.
  5. With the way the Cubs are playing and how Javy's been hitting, I'm almost expecting peak Boston Theo to appear again and acquire Hamels and Papelbon.
  6. I wasn't expecting such little drama from Travis. Fun game. Great job by Lester and some really good AB's against Cole.
  7. Yeah I bet Wood will pitch until he gets into trouble.
  8. Nice job, bullpen. Motte's command was [expletive], but he got out of it.
  9. I'm still not as nervous when Motte pitches as I probably should be.
  10. We'll be hitting in the bottom of the 9th in this game.
  11. 95 with movement, how is he not really good
  12. OK, 3 run lead, Marte the only good hitter you are required to face. You can do this, bullpen.
  13. Those kind of balks are stupid. That flinch isn't fooling Bryant or the runner. Kind of a lame rule if you ask me.
  14. So we're probably getting Schlitter/Coke to set up and Rosscup to close? Can't imagine Strop or Rondon will pitch. Actually, Rondon maybe could; I thought he'd pitched 4 days in a row but it's only been 3.
  15. Those infield hits could come back to help us if the bullpen doesn't have to face Walker or McCutchen again.
  16. I do enjoy that every national broadcaster is absolutely 100% convinced Russell will be the shortstop in the not-too-distant future.
  17. oh wow, Bryant's defense has been really really good lately
  18. .391 wOBA for Bryant, .465 for Rizzo. The Ramirez & Lee corner infield combo seems like nothing anymore.
  19. not overturning things that aren't clear Without knowing the original call was out, everyone in world watching that replay thinks he's safe.
