  1. That 2-0 pitch to Russell hasn't been a strike all day.
  2. "Should"? What do you think an expected ERA is for this guy? 11? They scored 3 in 6 innings for a 4.5 ERA. That's about exactly what they should be scoring off a guy like this. You can want more, but saying they "should" score more is not very realistic. To be fair, both Montero and Fowler were up with a runner at third and less than 2 outs and didn't get a run in. We probably should've scored more.
  3. Man, with those swings Stanton takes against some awfully bad pitches, you don't want to just straight pitch around him...until he hits a hanger 650 feet.
  4. Should've been 0-2 to Stanton. AB may have ended differently.
  5. Wow, even with Beltre's injury, that's really surprising. Other than walking more, I can't imagine his line will look any better than Javy last year.
  6. Little dribbler to the pitcher. Rizzo went on contact and the ball beat him by a lot. Maybe safe, but wouldn't have been overturned.
  7. 6:20 is a typo. Was always 6:10. Good AB's to start, yay.
  8. Even of Jay doesn't go at 1.3, it sounds like he's the top guy on the White Sox' draft board and high on the Red Sox' board. Looks like some wacky stuff would have to happen for Jay to available at 1.9. Yeah, it's about 0% he's there at 9,Benintendi is about best case scenario at this point. If things pan out as I expect it's going to be a choice between Daz/Happ/Clark/Harris/Whitley. Would be nice if Allard's medicals looked good, because I like him a lot more than I like any of the aforementioned group. From the little I know, I'd go Happ if Benintendi's taken. Love those Cape numbers and hope he can be adequate at 2B or CF. How different is Cameron from Almora? He seems too Almora-y for my liking.
  9. Meh, I guess it's not a huge deal, but I don't like Soler in the cleanup spot either; he has a K rate approaching 42% with RISP. When pitchers are in a spot where they need a K, they tend to get it when facing Soler. I'd rather see Rizzo moved up to 2, with Bryant 3, and Montero 4. But w/e, not much difference between cleanup and the 5 spot.
  10. But seriously, back to that 3-2 changeup KB took just below the knees. Absurd pitch recognition.
  11. Now I'll quit bitching about the 3 homers we lost in the wind.
  12. Ugh, his arm just got stuck. Will be up to Ross again if he's out.
  13. lol, Ned refuses to go to his closer here
  14. Wow, that was an incredible take by Bryant.
  15. Daryle Ward is only 39. We should give him a look.
  16. A lineout and a ball that would've been a homerun on any other day - 2 outs. Fun.
  17. Let's not waste really really good outings by Strop and Rondon.
  18. That hurts. Hopefully the decision by Ross to bunt twice won't come back to haunt us.
  19. I don't think challenges even matter anymore. You can basically just ask after the 7th I believe.
  20. Damnit, I completely forgot Ross came in. This isn't good.
