  1. These Twins starting pitchers throw such unimpressive clean innings. No K's, everything hit in the air.
  2. Happ finished 1-5 with a K. btw, Alex Jackson was recently demoted to the Northwest League and played against Happ tonight. Kyle Schwarber is in the Major Leagues.
  3. Happ singles in his first pro AB.
  4. My fault. I don't remember what made Soriano so unintelligent, though.
  5. That first part you completely made up. That along with you saying Castro and Soriano are the two dumbest players ever makes me cringe a little.
  6. OK, Rizzo, Bryant, Montero, and Castro all hit the ball hard last time. Time to score.
  7. We need to bring Renteria back onto the coaching staff to be the Starlin Whisperer.
  8. Happ is batting 3rd and playing CF, not 2B. Interesting.
  9. I'm quite surprised Zagunis is still at MB after the Schwarber promotion. Tennessee's outfield is all actual prospects, so even if they don't want to demote the struggling Hannemann, you'd think they could all get AB's by rotating playing the outfield and DH'ing.
  10. Nah, it was just a different intern each year.
  11. Joe Mauer pretty quickly became terrible, and he's only 32.
  12. Montero's defense wasn't especially helpful tonight either.
  13. This forum is really trendy. At one point, Soler was the next Vlad Guerrero, and Baez was totally written off. Now people are starting to forget about Soler and jump back on the Baez bandwagon. To be clear, I was mostly joking about Denorfia being better than Soler, but saying Schwarber will be a better hitter is by no means forgetting about Soler.
  14. Just get to Rizzo. He'll take care of it.
  15. He had an OPS over .800 against LHP last year.
  16. Denorfia starts vs righties over Baxter, so Maddon must think he's better than Baxter. Then he does that. I don't get it.
  17. Hopefully Starlin's fine, he's mostly immune to the DL. He takes a lot of weird slides and swings and always seems to hurt himself a bit, yet he never actually gets injured...except for that slide last August.
  18. Happ has to be close to joining Eugene, isn't he?
  19. These 'Seamhead' editions of Baseball Tonight have actual quality analysis. Guys like Law and Jonah Kerri are so much more interesting than the Kruks and Eduardo Perezs they used to depend on for that show.
  20. Do you REALLY want to catch, Kyle?
  21. Looks like most of the heavy stuff is going to stay south, should still be some rain and maybe a delay, but the biggest consideration right now is if it results in a starter getting pulled a bit early because of a delay. Given Hammel's pitch count compared to Salazar's, a long delay would probably benefit us.
  22. Nice job to limit the damage. Still a little confused by the positioning against Lindor. Just a Schwarber two-run dong away from being tied.
