  1. I think Tennessee won the award for "worst reaction to bracket placement" for this year. Makeup call for '06 I almost benefited immensely from that overseeding. I picked 15-seeded Winthrop. So close. Oh well. Me too. I got pissed when I checked out ESPN's national bracket, and like 7% of people picked it. Davidson in the Final 4 2 years ago, would've been my finest moment. HE HAD CURRY OPEN FOR THE 3!!! CMON!!!

  3. Man, I hate Hasheem Thabeet
  4. The Nets are at the awful 76ers tonight and I'm willing to bet they're worse than +200 Philadelphia (-290) btw.
  5. Cal is a bad basketball team.
  6. It was Trammel's calming influence that kept him out of prison.
  7. :-s :-k I mean that the Cubs are paying 8 figures to a guy who will likely not be very productive. Imagine if the Cubs offered $20 million for the 2010 version of Pavano. There would be a riot on Addison. Tranny would probably pay 20M for the 2010 version of Pavano
  8. Washington has a horrendous TV deal due to Peter Angelos. They make nothing off of it. I believe there's some other revenue they miss out on due to Baltimore's location "rights" but I'm not certain. Parking maybe?
  9. To clarify, the scholarship limit is 13, not 12.
  10. Elijah Duke is everything people wished Milton Bradley was to the Cubs.
  11. I've never heard this before. What were the examples? It wasn't just Detroit writers mad that Trammel wasn't making a Sandberg-like spectacle of himself yelling at players who clearly weren't talented enough to do anything beyond be the worst team in the majors?
  12. He's probably the best case scenario. Although that probably also would mean the Cubs would get a couple good years out of him and then vastly overpay him. Garrett Anderson + good defense is pretty damn good For a couple years. Depends on if Colvin can stick in CF.

  15. Ken Griffey Jr is only going one place after he leaves Seattle.
  16. karma for the 2008 team getting to play 16. portland state 8. unlv 12. villanova 10. davidson . And then beating two #1 seeds for the title. Memphis didn't even exist that year If only... Don't worry Raisin, I'm sure at some point in the future KU from that year won't exist either
  17. Seth Curry's gonna be the most overrated guard at Duke since...Seth Curry's gonna be the most overrated black guy at Duke ever.
  18. that's not really true. his xFIP's with the twins were 4.45, 3.94, 4.81 and 4.54. he was pretty close to league average in 2004 and 2007, above average in 2005 and below average in 2006. it wasn't until he got to seattle that he became truly terrible. It's mainly those WHIPs scaring the crap out of me. That and the concept that Silva is so damn hittable that xFIP doesn't accurately judge what he brings to the table
  19. I have them losing in the first round, but I'd probably put them to the elite 8 if I didn't
  20. I know. You're right. What was I thinking? He was the worst pitcher in baseball the last season he was healthy. Even when he's been not horrendous, he relies heavily on his defense because he can't strike anybody out. He brings nothing to the table. There's optimism and there's realism. This guy stinks.
  21. I [expletive] hate Carlos Silva.
  22. This year, they talked about it on our scout board today in reguards to McCamey. It allows the college coaches to know what they have for sure for the next year now. I hate it. NCAA, looking out for the kids! Sad as it is, I haven't been able to check out the boards in the past couple weeks cause of how poorly the season was ending. I'm gonna assume Mike Shaw committed to us, and you've all just been holding in your celebration.
  23. I can't see any of the big three going pro this year. Purdue will start off in the top five. I could see Johnson going pro, depending on what kidn of feedback he gets at the camps. They don't get to go to the camps now before deciding to go back. It sucks, big time. When did that change? Is there any sort of work-out that takes place now before the deadline, or is it basically figure out where you might go sight unseen and make a call?
  24. What the hell did I do??
