Every GM has made bad trades, not nearly as many have acquired talent like Lee, Ramirez, Lofton, Harden, Nomar, Karros and Grudz for guys who have done little in the majors. With the exceptions of the Maddux and Pierre trades, Hendry's bad trades have consisted of trading decent to solid bullpen guys (Cruz, Wuertz) for players who didn't turn out. Those are bad trades, but are overshadowed by the very good trades. Like TT said, I'm not arguing that Hendry has been great. I'm not even defending Hendry in any way. I think it's time for a new GM. I just don't see what the big deal is about discussing good trades he's made and how, overall, he's good at pulling off trades. That's exactly my point. It's not the end of the world if he's fired, but it bothers me that posters just can't look at both sides of a discussion. Also, be careful what you wish for. Everyone wanted Baker gone and most thought Piniella was a great hire. Now we have threads on firing Lou because he's an idiot. Despite the fact that in '06 I said Baker > Piniella, Baker's not even close to as good a manger as Piniella is. Piniella has some serious serious faults, but Dusty Baker is one of the worst managers in baseball. -

I wonder if SSR knows his team has alot of Bulls fans hoping on the Celtic's bandwagon for tonight's game? At least I'll have somebody to blame Perhaps......I don't know..........Doc Rivers? Just spitballing. Danny Ainge for wasting his time with Nate Robinson rather than getting some depth in the frontcourt.

I'll be cheering for Rondo. I hope he does awesome and the Celtics win. And then I hope Shaq whips him into the scorer's table. What is Rajon gonna hook his arm and not let go like Hinrich did?

Nice. I'm happy that Zambrano is helping the team - not sure he would be as a starter. What are you talking about? Not sure where the confusion is, but here is my response: (1) If you misunderstood me: I felt that West Side Rooter was taking a small jab at Lou Piniella regarding putting Zambrano in the bullpen (all the while commenting on the Jay Jackson situation), so I responded to that by saying "Nice!". (2) If you disagree with me: I feel that Zambrano has done a better job in the bullpen for the Cubs than he did as a starter (ERA as a RP: 3.52. ERA as a SP: 7.45). Please let me know if you need more clarification. Do you feel Zambrano's 7.45 ERA as a SP was likely to stay that way? -
Am I the only one who still wants Shaw more than Davis? Nope, Shaw's been my #1 target from the second the '11 class talk started up.

I can't see Utah trading Okur, unless they're getting a big man in return/via FA. They're already undermanned down low (Kousta Koufos got actual playing time in the playoffs), and losing Boozer and Okur would really screw them over.

Yeah, I was talking about Uthoff. I hope Bill Cole's sudden non-suckiness hasn't convinced Bruce that all lanky white guys who shoot 3s are Big Ten Players.

Do Toronto or Atlanta have interest in him? Is Kirk alone enough to free up a max contract spot? (Actually asking a question, not being a prick like usual) As for Boston, my gut says Allen comes back for a year, though that probably depends on whether we finish off Cleveland. Otherwise, I dunno, probably Starbury again.

They did? Jordan, Grant, Armstrong, and Pippen all played at least 77 games. Those were the only four players on the team. Well, who are you talking about? Cartwright and Paxson were even older and more injured in '94. (And even they played in 63 and 59 games respectively.)

Full B10/ACC schedule released. Monday, Nov. 29 Virginia at Minnesota Tuesday, Nov.30 North Carolina at Illinois Ohio State at Florida State Michigan at Clemson Georgia Tech at Northwestern Iowa at Wake Forest Wednesday, Dec. 1 Michigan State at Duke Purdue at Virginia Tech North Carolina State at Wisconsin Indiana at Boston College Maryland at Penn State I think the schedule's stacked in our favor. Sends 3 of our 4 bad teams on the road. I admit, I don't know that much about ACC schools, but it seems like they're burning up a couple decent teams to beat our bad teams by 30.
